This person (or persons, if more are interested) was once a follower or sacrifice to another deity of any religion you’d like. Zeus is a charmer, and enjoys wooing others. It’s like a game he plays with himself to see how long it will take for them to bite. And they always bite. They could’ve been a person he set his sights on, and boy did they take his bait. They’ve been so infatuated they actually left their old god to be of service to Zeus. Matteo’s been a polytheist since a very young age. His grandmother was pagan and polytheistic, and would tell him various stories when he was little. Eir was one of his favorite gods, along with this deity. Matt had a classical view of love for the longest time, and used to thank this god for the gift of love regularly. If he had a new crush, he would pray to the god in conversation, and just talk about it. When he began to question his sexuality, he would often pray to be changed, or just for answers. Fear could’ve made him resentful, so he pretty much cut his connection with the deity as much as possible. Maybe he tried to pray and talk to the god after he became comfortable with his sexuality, but to no avail. He would be incredibly regretful and apologetic for abandoning them. If he isn’t forgiven, it’ll be devastating. This role can be any sexuality, because there doesn’t need to be a sexual connection between them -- I’m super up for it though, especially if he’s able to mend ties.

It took a long time to figure out that he liked males, and even longer to tell himself it was okay. in his late teens/early 20′s there was this guy that he was completely infatuated with, and it made Matt uncomfortable. They would do little things like ‘accidentally’ touch, shifted to overt touches, and eventually spent time hidden in the woods together. It prob wasn’t cool for either of them to be openly affectionate with each other. This is the first male Matteo’s ever been with, so he would still have some kind of feeling for him.
