The character that I'm most like? I'm definitely a mix between Mirage and Bloodhound. Imagine Mirage's personality and difficulty with words, wrapped into a nb bean woth a love of birds and axes.

One thing I dislike about my fave character? Ha! What is there to dislike about Bloodhound???? Idk, they can't give me a hug.

One thing I like about my most hated character? Again, in-game Gibby, why wont he go down! He just eats bullets!

A quote or scene that haunts me? So you know when the Goliath is freezing in Hound cinematic? There's a parallel of it reaching for them while they reach for the mask and I just... Chills.

is it histria, severin, or carpathia? 😄 some of this is in the post-story appendix, but sure, i’d be happy to give you a run-down!

histria is inspired by exactly what it looks like: the roman empire and later neoclassical eras that paid homage to it. i was an ancient history junkie in elementary school, so histria is kind of me going back to my roots. histria was named after the ancient greek colony that spent a long time under roman rule.

jormunthal has a viking aesthetic with some mashed-in highland influence. it’s pretty much skyrim, except everyone has the sense to wear long sleeves. of all the names, “jormunthal” is the one with the least meaning, lmao. it’s meant to sound phonetically norse, but as far as i know, it’s not a real-life name.

severin is inspired by several different chunks of russian history. its aesthetic is a blend of the ivan the terrible era and enlightenment/war and peace period, with a heavy gothic flair. “severin” came from the character sévérine in skyfall, honestly just because i thought the name was pretty. but i later realized that it also has the word “sever,” from север, the russian word for “north.”

carpathia is a green, woodsy province inspired by england, with a mainly war of the roses/tudor influence. visually, it’s the closest dangerous crowns comes to “stock ye olde english fantasy.” i know the carpathians are a real-life mountain range, but in this case it’s named after the ship that rescued the survivors of the titanic, because… again, i thought the name was pretty. oops.

kaditha’s biggest basis is in the islamic golden age, with its innovations in education, science, art, and trade. geographically, it’s like the holy land/fertile crescent region, with a large desert and small, valuable agricultural area. it’s named after haditha, a city near baghdad that’s on the euphrates river, and the kadisha/qadisha valley in lebanon.

damn, sounds like they’re both massive shitheads. i stopped playing pokemon go seriously because of things like this honestly and the fact that future updates never really balance or get rid of shitheads like these

Hilariously, they seem to be doing this during the day as a direct response to the fact that I come out almost exclusively at night and kick them out after they’re asleep. They can either stay up until 2:30am trying to keep me out, because I walk the dog for two hours or more and I really will just keep coming back around and trying again after ten, twenty or forty minutes, or they can do it during the day when people give up more easily. 

The big technique used to be to get into a gym late because you’d then be virtually guaranteed to have that gym until the morning, by which time you’d have accrued your reward easily in one go, but because I come out later than everyone else, these guys have to hold the gyms during the day, and they don’t like having the kind of competition that you have to deal with during the day. So this is the solution they’ve come up with, apparently, which is to ruin the game for everyone else. 

It wouldn’t be so bad if we had more than just the two gyms, but that’s all we’ve got, so it’s very easy for two people to spoil things like this.
