The work Harry does is justifiable. It’s justice. He works for his country, and his country is a republic—the magical side, anyway. It’s not laudable work, it’s not work he’s proud of, but it’s necessary work. Harry has always taken the necessary jobs that no one else has the stomach for.

It’s just that he’s never deciphered a kill sheet and seen Draco Malfoy’s name on it.

It's been so long since I logged in that I got an email notification about potential suspicious account activity, but here I am with a quick update. I know, me being quick? Shocking.

Anyway, I've almost completed writing AABAB, so expect a multi-chapter update for that once I have finished.

Liars is progressing, although I have had some issues with writing this linearly as the story has progressed. I've written out most of the important scenes to come and now I'm working on linking it all together. Potential for me to drop the entire thing for this one as well, although still a little way off!

Wingless and Bound to You are both so close to being completed. I don't think either ending is what I had planned when I started them, but I am working on completing these and making it feel as much like it was the plan all along.

The other, as yet unnamed works (yes, I know works???) have been trucking along at a steady pace. Posting first chapters once some of the above are done.

Liars is going to be slower at updating, since I can't find my copies of my HP books anywhere 😭 Some things that happen in the books are just NOT going to happen in this retelling, but there are some things I'd like to change and/or expand on, and rereading the books helps me keep on top of that.

To be honest, writing Pathetic, Ordinary, Liars is so much harder than writing any other fic I've ever written. Harry Potter (despite the lack of representation and problematic associations) was a fantastic series, and rewriting it to give it my own spin AND keep enough original stuff to make it recognisable (at least this early on) is HARD 😂 I want to be able to tell this version of Harry, Ron and Hermione who live rent free in my head and it still resonate with HP fans - and as of the comments I seem to be succeeding.
