It’s times like this Alfred ends up considering just what Bruce dragged him into. Watching his family injure themselves for the sake of the city of sin and unable to prevent all of the hurt becomes maddening. Now he finds himself staring at you through glass after hours of trying to save your life.

Michael kept his glacial eyes on you intensely, “I’ve been watching you for awhile. Before tonight, I mean.”

He stepped closer, his imposing form towering over you, the air in the room becoming hot, “I’ve seen every step you’ve taken, I’ve kept watch as you’ve slept, counting your breaths as they enter and exit your chest,” he lifted his hand, his fingers grazing your cheek, “Every tear that’s fallen down this beautiful face, every tear they’ve caused,” he spat out the word like it was vomit. His eyes grew deadly, the ice in them melting with raging fire, “People like that-people who hurt you-don’t deserve to live.” 

His fingers traced along your jaw, “I have ached for so long to wipe those tears away, to give you everything you ever really deserved, away from them, from the pain, from everything,” he grasped your chin, “And I have come to fulfil that desire. Both yours, even if you don’t realize it yet, and mine.”

"I can give you whatever you want. All I need is your soul in return."

"Get on your knees."

"What are you going to do to me?"

She had been about to end his miserable existence when suddenly a Kaldorei male stepped into her line of vision and she knew immediately he was going to try to stop her. She raised her blade for the final stroke almost gutting the taller man as he came between them.

It was clear he did not understand what he was witnessing. She didn’t even wait for him to speak her words like ice as she spoke leaving no room for argument, “He is a demon. We don’t need the guards. We can be our own judge, jury, and executioner.” By we of course she did not mean him and her, she meant her kind. Demon hunters. 

“Unless you wish to join him I ask you to move and I will only ask once. If you try to stop me again, or get in the way of my duty. I will consider you a casualty of war and cut you down where you stand.”

"I have ways of making you talk." And not one of them was none too gentle knowing his nature and desire to inflict pain. A chuckle surfaced from the depths of his throat before he disappeared in a shroud of diamonds and reappeared before his newest prey.
