A few hours ago, simultaneous locations in the heart of Christchurch NZ were attacked by masked and armoured individuals, the locations appear to be a climate-change protest, and mosques in the area gathering together for the Friday prayer.

One suspect is in custody and is reported to have used an AR-15.

The nature of the attack may be right-wing politically motivated, as the target of the activists and refugees/migrants are under the purview of fundamentalist conservatives.
