DarkTale The surface is in ruins. The Dark Ages are here again. Technology went quickly. Blood and death is a familiar stench. The kingdoms don't let anyone in or out. Those who live outside the walls live in the badlands. Bandits rule in between kingdoms. If you try to live in the badlands death, or a life of slavery will be your fate. Frisk lives with her Twin Brother Chara. He has always been a boy who loved to love. He was kind, gentle, great at sewing and cooking, but he was no fighter. Living in the badlands, that was a death sentence. The village near the cursed mountain they lived in with their family was small and under the protection of the closest kingdom. If they shared their crops, the kingdom sent guards to patrol. One day the village was attack. Guards killed. Men murdered, women and children captured. The leader picked Frisk age 5 to be his toy for the journey. Her Mothers protest cost her her head. Chara was horrified covering his eyes, Frisk was still. Anger filling her soul. He took her to his horse drawn carriage. He advanced on her. She ripped his throat out with her teeth. Stole his dagger. Killed the driver. Took his saber. Then proceeded to kill every bandit. Rescued her brother and the others and went back to their village. The kingdom sent reinforcements but required all boys to join their draft. Frisk having combat experience takes her brothers place and is sent to war. Child soldiers filled the ranks. Sent to murder each other. Frisk returns after 5 years. Visiting her brother as often as she can. On her return she had been granted her freedom from the troops. The two kingdoms signed a truce and the child army was disbanded. The Bandits attack. Frisk is out hunting and Chara runs to find his sister up the mountain. Frisk is already engaged in combat in a cave when Chara enters the scene. Chara is shot full of arrows and his body slides into a pit. Frisk grabs for her brother and they both fall. Frisk awakes filled with determination to survive. Then her heart drops. Beside her is her brothers corpse. His soul a Golden heart floated above him. A floating screen flickered. Reset. She presses it and wakes up again beside her brothers lifeless body. She waited hours. She pressed it again. Back where she was. Over and over she presses the button. She gives up and kills herself. She wake up next to her brothers body. Frisk touches the soul and it transforms into a golden heart locket. She decides she was given this ablilty to seek revenge for her brother and sets off into the ruins. Charas soul gives her the ablilty to reset to her last save point. Chara speaks in Frisks mind but not often. Frisk uses Charas soul to free the monsters and can only load her last save through death. Frisk doesn't want to kill without purpose. She is a high LV and a seasoned warrior. An expert at dodging and blocking arrows. Wields a saber with two hands. Wields it with one hand when older. Underground arc- Frisks travels through the underground. Desperately searching for the way out. Hoping to save the villagers who had been captured and seeking her revenge. Surface arc- Sans and Alphys spend 9 years building a force field to protect the surface outpost to make a kingdom for monsters on the surface that is protected from attacks. Frisk leads a scout group and has sworn allegiance to King Asgore. Frisk- too talkative about morbid subjects, PTSD, alcoholic (Carries a flask of whiskey) keeps eyes closed but opens red eyes when fighting. Sword expert. Soft spot for brothers. Scar on cheek from fight when her brother died. Sans- has bottomless cargo short pockets filled with puny things. He was experimenting with pocket universes and made two entrances to one. He placed them in his pockets. He thinks he is clever. He wears Crocs. They are comfy with socks.
