Hello tumblr I have an important announcement
Hey everyone! I don't post a lot of personal stuff too often, and I actually haven't been on tumblr consistently in a while, but I wanted to mention what I've been up to. Over the past few months I've been hard at work writing/recording music with my band Destructo Disk. We played our first show outside of our home state (VA) in Washington DC in November, and then my guitar got stolen that night. We played one more show the next day (I borrowed a guitar), and we've been chilling out and saving money since. We recorded our 5 song debut EP last year, and we finally released it on January 1, 2017. It's completely free, and you can download it here https://destructodank.bandcamp.com/album/punk-rock-for-kids-who-cant-skate It's called "Punk Rock For Kids Who Can't Skate," and If ANY of you guys are into punk music, skating, feminism, riot grrrl, surf, 90s shit, or anything else fun, I think you might like what we recorded. We even covered the Daria theme song, and a radio station in Texas contacted us about playing it on their show, so there's that. I know it's shameless promotion, but we really really are proud of this record. I poured my heart into the lyrics of the last song and I just want people to give the EP a listen. It might be for you or it might not, but check out my band (ha.). So far, this EP is what I'm most proud of in my musical career; and I want to keep making music forever, so I think this was a good place to start :) Thank you guys so much, spread the word if you like us!
