How does jotaro train they're stands and how does he react to them?
That’s a very good question!
I’m gonna answer the second part first if you don’t mind. First of all I think Jotaro would have mixed feeling about helping DIO’s children, he would worry that they would turn out just like him. But then again they are just kids, and seeing them as just kids helps he feel more comfortable (and less alone).
The interesting thing about their stands is that most of them have to do with the misfortune they faced growing up, and since they are given a better childhood because of Holly I think their stands manifest differently!
Haruno’s Gold experience would be unaffected, the ability to give life is neutral and not explicitly tied to any trauma he has.Â
Donatello’s Underworld would probably not be designed to kill anyone trapped in the disasters he can dig up, I think it’s more based on “Digging up” the past in a more general sense.Â
Ungalo’s Bohemian Rhapsody is probably what would change the most. Given that his stand focuses of escapism, I thought that maybe instead of being a stand with a global effect, he has the ability to create illusory “rooms” and scenarios that he can put people into. he can write in characters or take ones from the outside world. this goes off my hc that in this au his escapist tendencies are less maladaptive and instead manifest as creativity!
Rykiel’s Sky High is similar to haruno’s in that it’s exactly the same as in canon. Rykiel takes strength and comfort in his flying cryptid friends!
So! when it comes to their stands I think Jotaro would act as a sort of referee, making sure they don’t hurt themselves or others. Donatello and Rykiel’s stands could be used for reconnaissance and data gathering given Underworld’s ability to “dig up” the past and Sky High’s long range ability. I think he would encourage them to experiment with them, but also be very careful not to use them out in public because that could make them even more of a target then they already are as joestars. Also, I think seeing them being able to use their stands to play around with each other would give Jotaro a new perspective on stands! maybe encourage him to see them less as fighting tools, but as just an extension of a persons soul.
