Toronto FC finally scored on Saturday and the crowd loved it. Then they gave up a goal which the crowd didn't like so much. Then both Toronto FC and Chicago Fire had a man sent off with red cards. Toronto FC had lost Danny Dichio (their goal scorer) for aparently trying to bite Matt Pickens. Diego Gutierrez got involved and also got a red card. I don't know how Matt Pickens came out of it un-booked, but he did and the game went on. Toronto FC went on to score 2 more goals to complete the 3-1 victory and the crowd love it. It was exciting to see part of Major League Soccer history on Saturday. It would have been better to be a TFC fan and be at the game. Here is a fan video I found of the first TFC goal. It isn't the best shot of the goal, but it captures the crowd reaction pretty well.

As if this wasn't enough bad news for expansion team Toronto FC, now leading scorer Danny Dichio may be out for the season. Dichio leads the team with 5 goals, but an injured right foot may keep him out the remainder of the season. An upcoming MRI on the foot will determine his fate. TFC coach Mo Johnston said "We're not too hopeful". It is too bad TFC have been hit with so many injuries this season. They could have put together a nice run to the playoffs in thier first year in the league. Now that is probably unlikely. Will TFC be able to keep enough players on the roster and healthy to actually finish the season?

Tononto FC is one step closer to qualifying for the first CONCACAF Champions League.  TFC is involved in a 3 team playoff which will determine who represents Canada in the regional tournament.  Last night Marco Velez scored the only goal of the game in the 72nd minute to give TFC a 1-0 victory over USL side Montreal Impact.  The Vancouver Whitecaps are the other team in the three team tournament. Tornoto FC did have some bad news in the game.  The teams top scorer Danny Dichio was injured and left the game in the first half.  It was a groin injury and the amount of time they expect him to miss is unknown, if he misses any further games.  It doesn't sound too bad.
