Q. "Hello, Daniel" is Kang Daniel's first solo reality show bearing his own name. As you gave your own name, you must feel some feelings of burden and responsabilities. Can you elaborate on that ? A. As it was my first solo tv show in my life, I felt a lot of pressure and responsibility to work harder, because the story was only about me. But the purpose of the program was really good and the filming really fun. Q. You left for Portland, U.S. looking for a 'Kinfolk life' (a nature friendly and healthy lifestyle). What was your feeling about it ? A. It was a time for me to deeply understand, think and organize my thoughts on the many worries in my mind. I've come to notice a lot of things I've become familiar with and didn't pay attention to. And I think I will be able to be happy again if I calmly sort through the past and the future. I also learned how to relax and take it easy. And I got to appreciate the little things in life. Sometimes you have to walk slowly to be able to see things. Q. Have you found your true self while traveling alone ? What does Kang Daniel think ? A. I asked myself this question a lot during this trip. It's really difficult to give an answer. But rather than focusing on what kind of person I am, I want to ask myself "what kind of life" Kang Daniel's will live in the future. I don't think there's a end in the search of Kang Daniel's true self. Q. What kind of Kang Daniel will we be able to see through "Hello, Daniel" ? A. You'll be able to see a natural appearance without embellishment. I really enjoyed my trip being myself without trying to be anyone else. I think you'll be able to see that the most. Q. In your opinion, what is the point to focus on "Hello, Daniel" ? A. The charms of Portland ! Through this trip I've traveled around Portland and I've got to a lot of places I want to recommend to others. I'm glad to be able to introduce such places to many peoples through "Hello, Daniel". It may be Kang Daniel's travel diary, but rather than focusing on me, I hope peoples will watch comfortably as a program that introduces you to travel destinations. Q. Lastly, can you say something to the viewers ? A. It's been long since the last time I've greeted you under Kang Daniel's name. It's also been a long time since I've traveled, and it was a really great time. I felt why I needed a break and free time. Kang Daniel's fans (Danity) have already as for now donated ~ KRW 10 million to support those affected and to prevent further spread of the virus. Kang Daniel has taken a heart-warming step toward making donations several times with his agency Konnect Entertainment and fandom Danity. Recently Daniel also donated 30 million won to the deaf social group "Love Snails" in December 2019. While Konnect Entertainment donated 31,000 briquettes to provides those in need with free coal briquettes.
