💝Throughout February, I’ll be posting 28 unforgettable outfits from film and television that I love. I even made an original logo for this series! My first FebruWEARy pick: I’ve been slightly obsessed with Dani Dennison and her signature look from Hocus Pocus since I first saw the film as a child. I just love everything about her. She’s a true original and so fearless. This outfit really embodies her spirit, as it is an unconventional take on a traditional witch costume. There’s real beauty to it whereas witches are not necessarily associated with such things, especially back in the 1990s. I really like how it pairs classic Autumn colors with black and the witch aesthetic. And even the hat is elevated with that pop of orange around the brim and the black netting with colored puffballs that hang in the back. In the sequel, many feel that Mother Witch’s outfit is designed to look like Dani’s. So perhaps Dani was dressed as her for Halloween in the original movie or (and I find this most likely) the filmmakers just wanted to have a nod to Dani in the sequel. Personally, dressing as Dani for Halloween is on my bucket list. I hope to do it soon!
