Reflection Document Pre-Vis
The Lucky pre-vis animation in my shoes was very difficult as i had to make and import assets and characters iv never made before into one scene and make it look like its from the same concept and world especially with rigging as it was my first time animating a character and adding a skeleton inside. I used a lot of farm based references from children’s shows and books as most of them have the same basic layout and story panel with the protagonist going out to explore the world or make friends, but i made mine with a twist on the same line of story.
A few hiccups along the way which was to be expected as i got assistance with tasks that was out of my league but overall i think i made a world that was true to my original concept and character design. Layout was one of the big issues as my concept its a flat world overall no big environment changes but did move around it a lot with shadows and trees in the way. Especially with the assets and buildings themselves i thought they were overall of the most easiest out of the whole process with basic building and environment shapes, so there was many references’s for them unlike roosters and the ground layout.
I think overall with feedback and presentation i did a good job and took a lot of suggestions on board and improved my pre-vis but i wished i made the characters more believable as they weren’t as i originally had visioned them, as they ended up being chunky and too cartoony like with the rigging making them walk slower. But most of the feedback and improvements were well received and after that didn’t need much changing at all after all was done.
