What happened to the flowerfell blog?
WELL. Long story short: Sanei, the creator of the Flowerfell AU was having their art and ideas stolen by people who were using their characters in ways they did not want (at least some of it having to do with “kin” characters I think, which I don’t quite understand what they are). Sanei asked them to stop, they refused, and so out of frustration for the total disrespect shown to them and their creations they deleted the whole thing.
Fanfictions and AUs are, by their very nature, fluid and bound to generate other fan ideas and iterations. That’s how Undertale got to be such a varied fandom in the first place. But respect for the creators should always come first. If you can’t so much as give credit when something isn’t your idea, or follow the simple guidelines and requests of the creator, then you are not respecting or showing love for that creator’s work. Period.
