And just like that, it has been a year in the sandy land of the Emirates. Looking back, I feel like this year has been really short, counting just a handful of events worthy enough to be called 'moments' but also I think this has been my longest year ever for I've spent most days of it stuck in front of a computer screen doing frame by frame animation waiting for the day I can finally visit my family back home. If I were to relive this day last year, I wouldn't have gone into the plane with my sister as I don't really have any reason to leave the country other than for the sheer risk of finding independence. This year is the most interesting year in my life and probably the most important one as I come to understand that this kind of transition is vital in any person's life. I cannot really tell right now if it is indeed a transition or just another phase that I needed to endure, but I'm certain that I will get something out of this one day. It might be a better career or my very own Zayn Malik haha but I'll get something for sure.
