About something you brought up in the "How To Tell A World Isn’t Going To Work Just From The Description" article. Has anyone ever tried to creating a post apocalyptic Sims 3 world that doesn't use any CC. I imagine that would be hard, but it should be possible, especially if you're willing to use the create a style tool, and there are those run down "house" scenery objects from Supernatural and Midnight Hollow, not to mention that one store set with the broken windows.
There's certainly been a number of post-apocalypic worlds which had zero cc.
Again, off the top of one's head, Lost Cove (pre-2020 edition) and Miner's Cove (which we covered before, nothing more than a small empty island of 'meh!').
There's also Nowa2000's Nightmare City and Nightmare Valley which only requires Jynx's rabbithole rugs (hardly a resource hog). Nowa made a stack of 'abandoned' type worlds, to be honest interestingly sculptured and spawnered (if such a word exists) but not much else.

Further to the above, the other half’s told us there’s a character at Blacky’s Sims Zoo called Mammut who makes a lot of roadless worlds which look like they’re post-apocalyptic (or at least look like your typical ‘always voted Labour, always will’ parts of the UK).
There’s Caracan, Valley Doom, and a few dozen others that look exactly the same in various degrees of ‘meh!’.
It’s hard to believe this is the same Mammut who has made such delights as Guantuja and the excellent Isle Of Clouds. But we get the feeling they - like too many at Blacky’s Sims Zoo - are obsessed with churning out worlds for the sake of numbers rather than taking time and giving them a chance.
This is, after all, the place which brought out the masterpiece of Northerney, and the collaboration Lago Simiore is a textbook example of excellent team work and proper use of a large map to create a scene setting background terrain to frame and compliment the world rather than turn it into Gandalf’s Big Muthafukkin Map Of Middle Earth And Shit, Bros!
German CAW creators appear to have some sort of allergic reaction to making worlds less than medium size (insert your own bad taste lebensraum don’t mention the war, Sybil! jokes at this point ...) - as if there’s some sort of diktat which states ‘Alle Sims 3 Welten muss verdammt groß sein!’
There’s only one over there which is tiny (ie. 256 by 256) and that’s Tutorinselchen (literally Tutorial Island) - made as part of a CAW creation tutorial - ironically it’s one of the better ones as the minimal room stopped Norn from overegging the cake (which they’ve a tendency to do all - the - effing - time!) and a personal favourite of our resident small island obsessive.
There also used to be one called Scary Island by Commari, but since Blacky’s Sims Zoo’s ironic very own apocalypse, for some reason this was not restored so the only place you can get it is over on one of those thieving Russian bastards websites with a billion pop up ads. To be honest, it was more a Halloween themed world, rather than apocalyptic.
