So, time for a theory.
Okay so, "Wilford Motherlovin Warfstache" showed us how William descended into the Wilford we all know, so here’s my idea (before it gets totaly killed by the video. i only have so long to theorize on this and i missed this)
So what if this new thing is what shows us how "Damien" (or what's left of him) becomes the Dark we know today?
We know Dark is made of the worst parts of Celine, Damien and the DA's body... so what if there was a processes? Something that happened to make Dark who we know today?
If we look at what we last herd Dark say; "You made this place for broken things, but some things can't be fixed", we need to ask ourselves who he was talking to and what “place” was being referred to.
Maybe this forest is that “place”.. something Damien's subconscious made up for him to “live in” while trying to repair his mental state.
But we all know Dark is who he is, and he does become Dark, so it would fail... but then again, we can only wait for tomorrow
