Lazy summer day. Clouds floating, warmth beating down to those not under the shade of a tree. This tanuki was having a day fishing, mostly just as an excuse to laze the day away. He’d caught a few small fish already, which was pretty good. His fishing pole is between his knees, and his arms are behind his head, his eyes closed.
At least until he heard some rustling in the bushes.
“Hello? What’s out there?”

“There’s no need to hide. You can even have some of the fish if you want, I’m not gonna use them all.”

Ragged breaths lurched out from the creature’s maw as he looked around in a daze, afraid. All he could see was a cramped, narrow space ahead, the concrete walls grimy and slick with an unidentifiable substance. A few circular caged lights clung to the walls, emitting a sickly green glow, but not much more than a faint notion of light.
Crouched in a frightened stance, craven, Phil slowly padded forward a few steps on all fours. He was soaked, as if he’d been submerged in water before waking. He whimpered, giving himself a shake and sniffing at the humid, horribly hot air.
Someone was nearby... But who?
Then, when he saw Nen approaching just as dazed, he let out a garbly scream, whipping around and trying to run back in the opposite direction, clawing at his dead end wall.
