イタリアから悲しい知らせを受け取った。Maestro Gigi Dalcuoreが亡くなったのだ。以前にお会いした時、自分のスーツは洗濯機で洗えるのだと誇らしげだった。常に時代に求められるものを考えていた。コチネッラのピンバッチをつけていたのが忘れがたい。ジジは卓越した技術と共に自由なクリエイティビティを持った孤高のマエストロだった。ジジの心の一部は私たちの本の中に生きている。「サルトリア・イタリアーナ」で取材させて頂き、共に時間を過ごした幸運に感謝致します。そして心からのお悔やみを申し上げます。 I have received the sorrowful news from Italy that Maestro Gigi Dalcuore died. A few years ago when I met him he proudly told me that his suits were machine washable. he was proud to say that his suits could be washed in the washing machine. He was always thinking about what the times demanded. I always remember he was wearing a Cocinella pin at that moment. Gigi was a lone maestro with great skill with creativity and beautiful imagination. A part of his heart and work has live on in our book.We would like to thank Sartoria Italiana for the privilege of interviewing him and spending time with him.
