ahneksh preferred to be close to their creator, hermaeus mora, basking in their presence. they had been hovering beside them in silence for a while, turning a small wooden horse over in their tendrils, observing the toy with an almost childlike wonder. after a bit of time, they lowered their tendril, addressing mora with a query. "would you still care for me if i was a worm?" (this is so unserious-)

THE GREAT EYE DID NOT DETER ITS CREATIONS FROM BEING CLOSE. Apocrypha was nothing if not an extension of self; archives and structures spun from oozing carapace, the ichor sea the expanse where the God lay wake. (AND WITHIN ITSELF LAY ITSELF). Manifestations, chunks, pieces-- - from a pool of ink did a form repose. Tendrils slithered indolently, eyes flickering without singular focus // BUT AMONGST THE MANY DID SOME SETTLE UPON THE WATCHERS STUDIES. A simple object they toyed with, the realm littered with relics of the mortal realm and those beyond (FOR HERMAEUS MORA, NOTHING NEW COULD BE GATHERED FROM THEM.) However, they did not dismiss its creations desire to know // FOR THEY WERE BORN OF IT, AND THEY HARBORED THE SAME HUNGERS. Much more easily fed were they who had not consumed the grander feast already. Once all that a object could nourish mind, a query was presented. (A QUESTION OF ODDITY // A QUESTION OF A FRESH MIND WITHOUT WHAT WAS GRANDER YET). “&– - The form you have been gifted is a reflection of my own. Any other would be but a dissipation of what you are now.” // @dalasinis
“ i already made my decision, you’re not going to change that. ” - @dalasinis
He wanted to refrain from shaking her, from throwing his anger at her for her behavior. She seemed wrapped up in the way that she wants to live - away from the family as though she were never apart of it. Her words were a slap to his face, a mar on an already fragile situation. He clenched his jaw and shook his head in denial to her words. She was a Mayfair! And just because she didn't wish for it that didn't mean she could get away from the family that easily. Would Lasher even allowed that?
"Mother has told me a million times to ignore you. That you aren't the witch that is needed. But you, my little sister, am I meant to just let you go and let you live away from us?" From me? She represented innocence, she was a relic and yet he couldn't force her, could he? He understood wanting away from Lasher, God knows that he has his own machinations regarding the fiend, but everything else?
@dalasinis sent - “Any reason you brought flowers?” - Katherine
well, maybe the flowers hadn't been the best idea. then again - coming here hadn't been the best idea either. he knew that it was best not to get involved but here he stood, offering her bloody flowers. he was some idiot, he knew that. but lingering on the sidelines was proving to be more and more difficult. maybe that loud voice in his head that told to sever all ties pushed to do this. he doesn't set them down. but then he's not even sure what to do with them. he keeps them in his hand, but lowered. "a show of cordiality?" he suggests with a small smile.
@dalasinis asked : ❛ do you believe in ghosts? ❜
The girl thought for a while about that. "I like to think so." She nodded, taking a sip of her fountain drink. "I mean, my nana and papa aren't alive anymore, but I really like to think that they're out there somewhere, watching over me." She smiled.
"I don't know if I believe in bad ghosts though. Like malicious spirts? I've never in countered one. Maybe they do though."

The shed eye was nameless, nothing more than a hatchling, but a part of them had always existed in a way because of it. As their broodmates, new creations of Hermaeus Mora, looked around their surroundings with awe and wonder, the nameless didn't share their sentiments, instead feeling a combination of afraid, confused, and overwhelmed. They raised a tentacle in the direction of their creator and clicked dejectedly.

A POOL OF INKY BRINE, INUDATED WITH THE PRESENCE OF THE OOZING MASS AT CENTER. A pile of orbs that dropped from the endless many that made up its form settled either against the shapeless entity, ensnared in torpid tentacles, or disappeared under the fluid; or the Prince of similar descriptive fashion. Fallen from the infinite sockets, bloated and ripe with knowledge without sacrificing even the smallest word from the whole. Discarded eyes were not ATYPICAL of it-- - some became containers for memories // BOOKS IN THEIR OWN RIGHTS (AND OTHERS BECAME AS NOW). Some remained glazed over, unready; others had opened once more, matter solidifying and shaping around the circular expanse (ONCE MORE DID THE OPTICS GAZE, SEPARATE FROM THEIR ORIGIN POINT // BUT NEVER FULLY SEPARATE).
CURIOSITY WAS OFT THE FIRST BREATH TAKEN BY ITS SPAWN. A trait shared from creator-- - a reflection of a past lost to the tangles of imprecise time, an echo of the current. Many of them took to feed on what was true nourishment // LEARNING, COMPREHENSION, KNOWLEDGE. Their first taste was to understand their existences; the capability of limbs, the latent abilities inherited. Many took to the same, but it did not mean uniqueness was absent // HERMAEUS MORA WAS A CREATURE OF MULTITUDES, AFTER ALL. Logic dictated this factor remained, individualized. And the Great Eye observed.
A SELECTION OF ITS IMBEDDED EYES BETRAYED TO ONE WHO DID NOT FOLLOW THE ACTIONS OF KIN. They remained pressed against its matter, and the Old Antecedent was aware of the emotions that burdened over the typical overarching one shown by kin (STRANGE // INTERESTING). Nervous natures were not unseen, but atypical-- - even more so for the inevitable becoming this one bore. The diminutive Watchlings, as the mortals had taken to calling them, had a hunger that paled to a Watcher; and here one of the latter did not rush to gain and gain and gain like kin.
HERMAEUS MORA WORE NO SIGNS OF IRRITATION, OF DISAPPOINTMENT. Those things were absent-- - it pushed not the creation away; no, they were allowed to remain. What should be // WHAT SHALL BE // will settle into places naturally. Like all others before them, all others now, all others later; that too shall come for them. Instead, the Prince of Knowledge spoke-- - letting their first taste be from the fountainhead of knowing itself. What came was no daedric tongue, nor that of mortals or otherwise. Something ancient // SOMETHING PRIMORDIAL (SOMETHING OWN NOT BY OTHERS BEYOND IT AND THOSE OF IT). Something that almost seemed to blend into the constant background hum of Apocrypha-- - while separate and whole and ALL CONSUMING. 'Fear and confusion have no place for one such as you here. Feast, and learn this truth, Ahneksh.' The last sounds constructed given recognition // A NAME. A meaning-- - of roughest descriptor 'heedful eye of'; their full title shall come in time. // @dalasinis
i’m a better person because of you. - nathaniel to ophelia.
[ PROMPTS FOR SHARING COMPLIMENTS AND PRAISE ]
Ophelia cradled Nathaniel's head close to her chest, her manicured fingernails grazing the back of his head languidly. A sweet smile touched the corner of her lips before she pressed them lightly against his forehead. "We're better people because of each other," She corrected softly. "Although, it's probably best that I rub off on you than the latter."
let’s go out to dinner and celebrate you! - alexander to ophelia.

"Can we go to the French bistro on Callahan?" She asked softly, intertwining his fingers with her own. "I know it isn't nearly as opulent as you prefer, but I love that place." Ophelia moved closer, resting her other hand on Alexander's chest. "It's a dinner for me, after all," She teased.
