I think Steve is going to die. And I hate that what's going to happen.
GOD YEAH ME TOO!
I know that every season half the fans say they think Steve will die and I’ve never been convinced of that before but this season it actually has a lot of weight to it. They’re really putting focus on his relationships with other characters and his development throughout the show as well as preemptively attempting to fill the holes he’ll leave in the show and the character dynamics (the introduction of Eddie as Dustin’s new role molder/older male friend, Nancy becoming friends with Robin etc) Also his protective nature over the the others around him (particularly Dustin and Nancy) could very well get him killed in an emotional and heartbreaking sacrifice by the end of this season. I’m really hoping I’m wrong, which I very well could be considering a few back Sean Levy mentioned how much he loves working with Joe Keery and the Duffers saying they’re unlikely to kill him off because of this. Also considering how he was supposed to die in season 1, he’s a very malleable character since there’s no overall grand plan for his character like I assume there probably is for a couple of the others which means they can go either which way with him so make of that what you will. Considering how much the fans and crew love him I believe he’ll either survive to the end of the story and get a happy ending of sorts or die a hero with a proper, well done send off.
