Hey! I don't have specific blogs in mind that would be good for this, but if you want to follow more 911 blogs in general you can just scroll through my blog and follow some of the people I reblog 911 posts from! I vouch for them all!

I can explain those two for you though.

Couch theory: In 6x01, Buck, Eddie, and Chris have a scene where they talk about how Buck hasn't gotten a new couch after he and Taylor broke up and she took her's with her. He said he is scared of not picking the right one. The implication of the scene is a pretty heavy-handed metaphor that the "couch" in question is his next relationship. It gets brought up a couple more times throughout the season (and was asked about pretty consistently in post-episode interviews throughout s6) but a really significant time is in 6x12 when Buck cannot get comfortable on the new couch his mom bought for him so he goes to Eddie's house and the second he sits on it, he falls asleep. Therefore implying Eddie's couch is the right couch for him. However they then throw it out the window when they have Buck ask Natalia to go couch shopping with him in the finale lmao. BUT they have brought it back this season, having several very significant and pointed scenes of Buck and Eddie on the couch together when teasing where their future is headed (8x06), Buck asking to go sit on the couch together when he finds out Eddie is about to move, them showing Buck getting his couch set up exactly how Eddie had it when he finally decides to move into Eddie's place, etc. Out of all "theories" that the Buddie fans have come up with, this is the one that is actually fully supported by canon and Very deliberate when it's brought up.

Unfortunately I do not have industry work, my country is small (NZ) and our film industry dried up a little once lord of the rings finished, so work is limited unless you're lucky/well connected. Rip to us both :( we used to be a cheap place to film but we're too far away from everywhere and Iceland is cheaper now lol.

The diploma was fun but honestly unless you want to work in broadcast TV, you can learn most of it online for free 😭 things I wish I'd known before I spent $10k! It blows my mind that some of the gif makers in fandom are self-taught, the things they can do with photo/video editing software is nuts.

i always recommend people start with his work from the 2000s! i think it's very accomplished, cohesive (as cohesive as herzog is, haha), the topics/subjects within are super interesting (although they always are imho but also i'm biased), his narration funnier than ever, and so on. i think Grizzly Man and Encounters At the End of the World (which has two GREAT follow ups of a sort, Into the Inferno and Fireball: Visitors From Darker Worlds, but they can also be viewed as standalones; work better as a trilogy though imo) are the best to start, and both are pretty famous. there's others, for example Lo and Behold, Reveries of the Connected World, The White Diamond, or The Cave of Forgotten Dreams, The Wheel of Time, but i think it's best to start with the first two that i listed and then expand if you're into herzog, yk? for me it would be easier to say which of his docs i didn't enjoy, and there's not many, frankly 😭 like maybe one, which still had good parts. lol. but some of the older works were more experimental formally (with Lessons of Darkness/Lektionen in Finsternis probably being the most "approachable", but for example that one got some flack about "aestheticizing"/decontextualizing the Gulf War from ppl who imho Don't Get Him. or don't get that this doc works as a bookend for Fata Morgana), so might not be for everyone. there's loads of pre-2000s classics tho, for example Bells from the Deep: Faith and Superstition in Russia (he made up a lot of things there lmao just fyi; like, he always does, but some works feature that more than others), or Little Dieter Needs to Fly, or shorts like La Soufrière or Gasherbrum – Der leuchtende Berg. lord this got long LMAOOO anyway if you check some of these out and want more recs just hit me up!!!

re: NZ ohhh gotcha, yeah, i've heard. :( and i'm really sorry about that! like poland is losing loads of opportunities as well (mostly on account of czechia, but also romania, hungary, and others, bc we don't have Really big studios here, and not enough ppl who know what a great business/promo opportunity it is), but we still end up used as a location more and more these days, and we're def more accessible than NZ. :( again, i'm sorry!!!

ahhh gotcha. i do know what you're talking about, a lot of gif/vidmakers on here are CRAZY talented indeed, and it always blows my mind how many of them are self taught 😭 could probably do it with enough time/dedication, but i dkn't have those, and that's My Excuse. 💀
