I remember you saying Trent struggles with his mental health and so do Aiden and James, right? So my question is who's medicated and how does it affect them? (in a general sense, but also in a tummyache sense 👀)

Trent is heavily medicated and he has struggled to find the right meds/dose. Some of them made him really sick and caused migraines while others just didn't help him. He spent years in and out of hospitals before he got the right combo. He can't take most of his meds on an empty stomach, particularly his sleep meds, or he will go full exorcist in the middle of the night. Alcohol has a really strong effect on him so he can't drink much without risking getting really sick and having an episode.

Aiden takes meds for anxiety and took antidepressants for a bit after both his parents deaths. His main issue is panic attacks that can trigger his asthma. He does need to take very strong medication when he goes to the doctor.

James refuses to take medication, but has reluctantly done some therapy at the V.A. and really only struggles when he had a fever on on the anniversary of his brother's death. Most of his hesitation with medication and therapy comes from how he was raised. When things get really bad he definitely is prone to throwing up.

Daisy takes antidepressants in the winter for seasonal depression. She struggled with an ED in highschool and was more heavily medicated then. She takes her medication and mental health very seriously and rarely forgets a dose.

Cody takes anxiety meds and a sleep aid to help with nightmares and stress. He gets stress induced stomach aches often from work and developed ulcer in pre-med and agian med school.

Tyler takes meds for anixety and ADHD. He has forgotten to eat a few times with his ADHD meds and gotten violently sick as a result. He doesn't like how the ADHD meds make him feel, but he needs them for school.

Jenny and Julien are med free, however Jenny has type 1 diabetes and takes meds for that.

General Info: Daisy grew up in the outer suburbs of Boston with two sisters (one older and one younger). She was teased and bullied in school and struggled (still has issues now) with her self-image. Her main escape is reading/writing. Her cousins, Cody and Tyler, came to live with them during Daisy’s senior year of high school. Daisy and Cody are sibling-like but they don’t see each other often because of work. She went to a community college to study journalism and political science. She met Aiden and Trent at a writers workshop on campus and they have been best friends since.  Daisy and Trent bonded over their struggles with mental illness and have a complex deep relationship. Daisy currently works as a war correspondent and has been engaged to Trent for several years. She is very blunt and straightforward, often coming off as callous.

Lila unlocked the door to the bookstore, juggling a to-go cup of coffee and a file folder full of checklists for her training with Daisy today. She made her way to the counter and dropped off her things, dropping her bag on the floor behind the counter. Going back to the door, she unlocked it completely and turned the sign to 'open'. She didn't mind dealing with customers a few minutes early. Sipping on her coffee, Lila went around the store, flipping on lights and straightening chairs in the reading areas.
