#daishou timestamp

a small smirk rose at the corners of his lips at the ringing bell, echoing in the both of your ears and throughout the stagnant room. whilst your peers began heading towards the door, snatching their bags and materials off of their desks—you grabbed your boyfriend’s hand, noticing a newly made habitat in the back corner of the labs.

a groan bubbled from his throat as you couldn’t help but lead him towards the terrarium, your interest peaking—the first subject that had actually entertained your curiosity in the entirety of the school week. you had a natural knack for exploration, and there was no doubt in your mind that you had to find out what was contained in the cage. 

“oh, look!” you fawned, your hands clasping together beneath your chin as your eyes rested upon the small iguana. it’s feet were perched atop a makeshift rock, body relieving itself directly under an orange heat lamp, and tongue zipping in and out of its mouth. “suguru! isn’t it cute?”

whilst you fawned over the scaly creature, daishou only glanced in distaste. he’d never been fond of reptiles, all the labs and procedures that came with zoology itself being the reasons why he despised the course—and preferred to keep his distance, especially when those things had nothing to do with him. 

with your eyes averting between the two subjects, your boyfriend and the green-stricken reptile—something clicked within your brain. the obvious similarities between them, a majority of the comparisons being in the natural look of disgust for everything around them. 

“oh my god—” the words flooded from your mouth, unstoppable and inexplicably out of control. they flowed on impulse, only ending at the sight of his painstakingly aggravated expression. “—you’re identical.”

“suguru! you have a twin!” your voice seemed to rise with every word, the tone becoming that of a child’s with excitement as you pulled out your cellphone, opening the camera, and snapping a few blurry shots from how doubled you were with laughter. “i need to show the team this, this is crazy!”

and while he hated the unneeded spite that those photos would likely bring him from his friends, the look of joy on your face made up for it—as it was the only thing that could ever redden his cheeks to roses, just as they were now.
