Not much cooking done on day 52 of #365daysofkitchenwitchery but I thought I’d show you dessert. This delectable treat is, of course, a humble daim (dime) bar. I recently re-discovered these having not had them since I was a lot younger, and food is such an incredible way of evoking memories and feelings of the past. There’s nothing quite like the way the chocolate flakes cleanly off the caramel, or the way the caramel snaps cleanly, then just melts in your mouth. It’s evocative of a time when my brain didn’t seem so full of complicated nonsense.
