Daily MCO Drink #161, MCO Day #163: MILO NEGRONI, created by Loco (@locorockerfeller) of Coley (@coleylumpur). Made with equal parts The Botanist Gin, Campari, and Eiling Lim Private Selection “Wen” Single Cask Vermouth, stirred with a tablespoon of Milo, left overnight in the fridge then filtered through a coffee filter and served with a layer of Milo jelly. . This was last week: Me: LOCO, I’m tired of waiting for you to bring back the Milo Negroni. Gimme your recipe so I can make it myself. Loco: ok bro. . And here we are. Making the drink was the easy part. I even tried the same technique with a Milo + Haig Club Boulevardier that was not bad. . But the jelly took a while to perfect. Took a couple tries to do it properly and It was still a bit too solid in the end, but better than the mushy puddings I had in the beginning. . Verdict: it’s an easy recipe to follow, and this effort was not bad, but not quite there. It really was not easy to perfect the balance of negroni bitterness and Milo jelly sweetness that Loco’s had. .
