I’m in a bit of a dilemma here. I just wiped my computer and now I’m re-intalling my games and such. I downloaded DA:I and tried to play it to see what it would look like but whenever I try to click an old save it says, “This save data was created with a newer version of the game. Please download the latest patch and try again.” After some searching it turns out my past modding might the cause of all this and I would have to open my save files in game with a merged file in the patch directory folder to work.

There are two things with that though.

1) The person who made the DAI manger suite doesn’t make them anymore. They left a discord link and it said something about the invite being invalid meaning it either expired or I have to wait for an invite.

2)I did save a version of DAI Mod Manger suite save to a thumb drive buuut it’s most likely outdated. I click download and it doesn’t do anything. The Mod manager also offers a discord link but it doesn’t work when I try to copy and paste or when I try to just click on it.

Is Dai Mod Manager working at all for all of you? Is it just me? Cuz mine crashes every time i set up the path to the mods’ folder. I cant get to even merge anything.

Its been a while since I played so I got all the dlc’s in one go, repaired game, got the newest version of DaiMod Manager and DaiTools; thought everything was aright and got ready to use them.

Dai Manager opens, i set up the path to dragonageinquisistion.exe and then when i start to browse the mods....nope. not happening. CRASH. No explanation given.

Currently, when I’m starting the Tools Suite I’m getting this error: “An error occured while trying to contact the sever” Troubleshooting performed so far:

None. I can download and install the latest version of the MM and everything works just fine. But the mentioned error is always irritating me..

Patch level: 9 DLCs: All Issue: My mod maker won’t import or preview my created textures. When I open up an asset for in the window, in this case the one for the inquisitor portraits, I’m faced with both the preview option and the import and export asset options are shaded out. I’m wondering if this is a patch issue or if my copy is just jacked. Any advice would help. Troubleshooting: I’ve visited so many forums… Uninstalled and reinstalled a dozen times and just plugged away at the programs for hours to no avail.

Word of Mod’s Note: It is very important to keep in mind that ModMaker 1.1 is, as stated by the coder dawnlesssky, an test piece of software. There are bugs, and the purpose of an Alpha is for people to find these bugs and report them as well as gather feedback on the software from those who will use the final version. Dawn is currently working on ModMaker 2.0, which will fix several of those bugs and incorporate some of the feedback, but it is an ongoing process. Throw in Bioware’s penchant to switch things up with every patch (though Dawn is working on figuring out how to make the tools Patch Agnostic), and you have some very hardworking DAI Dev Team coders indeed!

HOWEVER, having said all of the above, in this case, the Word of Mod believes that you might be suffering from a more basic problem. Please refer to this previous post and see if the suggestions there help with your issue.

Can anyone whose modded DAI help me out here

There is, in fact! The mod is a tool called das_editor by ricco19 (with a quick GUI addition by Ehamloptiran), which allows you to change the appearance of several aspects of your Inquisitor’s looks. The Mod Makers recommend checking out this link, which has both the link for download as well as a quick tutorial on how to use the program.

This is also available at the Nexus as the DAI CLI Save Editor.

lavellot also wrote a tutorial for this tool specifically referring to black hair color, but you can check it out as well for more information on its usage.
