Suddenly, there was a crying girl in the middle of the street. Her mouth quivered and with no regard at all for the people around her she started to wail. “I’m so hungwy! You’re all so mean ignoring me! I’m just a cute girl you know I don’t deserve to starve.” Tears streamed down from her eyes, as well as snot from her nose. 

Such a messy cry was a face of true despair. She looked to be nothing more than a smaller than average teenage girl, and one who was truly desperate. There was no one else around though so one wondered why she was bothering to put on such a show. 

there’s something about that girl, her wistful gaze off into the distance as she sits near a pond. it reminds akira not too much of himself, as clearly both of them had been trying to occupy and mask their thoughts with a whole lot of nothing.

akira tries to approach casually. he takes a rock from the dround near the pond’s egde, examines it, then skips it across its surface. he does this a few more times, glancing over his shoulder at his current company.

“you seem like you’re having a good time.” his words are filled with that kind of friendly joking sarcasm, that kind you use to get through to a friend who didn’t seem at the top of their game. akira takes a seat on the ground next to her, his feet tucked in close and his long legs sticking out at odd angles. 

“you okay?”

             SOMETIMES rough housing with a few thugs was thrilling, but often boring with their lack of wit and strength. Barnaby shoves the man aside without hesitation, taking away the small knife that they tried to stab him with. How sad. He shakes his head and leans down to pick up a small purse, which was originally stolen from the get go. The suited hero looks around, wondering whom this accessory belonged to. 

“Is this yours?” Barnaby asks the first girl he sees, eyes glowing from the helm.

“ you’ve been staring at me like i have some kind of malevolent aura all over my body just like in your favourite anime ━unless i have some hulking monster behind me. i have one of those behind me, right ?”
