I headcanon that Lan Sizhui calls Lan Wangji “Baba” and Wei Wuxian “A-Die”, not the other way around.

As a young boy who earnestly looked up to lwj, “Baba” initially slipped out in the throes of a violent nightmare. As lsz aged this term was uttered when he felt vulnerable and needed comfort. Lwj was always swift to comply, proud to be a pillar of support that this boy - who lwj just wanted to grow up happy and healthy - could rely on.

Wwx on the other hand had been “Xian-gege” when lsz was little. Upon meeting the man once more as a young adult, lsz had defaulted to using that term or “Senior Wei”. It’s only after wwx places himself in danger and lsz is worried that “A-Die” is used. Wwx teases him for it once he’s safe but is honored and grateful this little radish sees him in this light. Needless to say, it sticks.

Never getting over baby a-Yuan clinging to LWJ’s leg while all those villagers scolded him for being a shitty parent/tried to offer parenting tips and he was like “no you don’t understand he’s not my kid, I’m not his dad”

Then Wei Wuxian was like “He’s my son! I gave birth to him myself!”

And Lan Wangji was immediately like “Oh okay I guess he IS my kid and I AM his dad and now I am going to buy him Every Toy because it is my right as his father to spoil him.”
