OH ANON what DOESN'T he do to me!!! here's a (definitely not comprehensive) list of things i think dadwin would do

will read every single book about pregnancy and parenthood that he's able to get his hands on (in the end he knows more about being pregnant than you do)

gender roles are a foreign concept to him. he will not take you for granted and will do anything to make sure you're comfortable and not stress after birth, completely unprompted

while he's raiding the store for books on pregnancy he makes sure he picks up TONS of children's books as well. he will build the baby's first reading nook himself.

speaking of building things: in my head he gets 100% into building things from scratch. he builds a rocking chair for you to nurse the baby in, a dollhouse, a swing set for the garden, all kinds of wooden toys... 🥺

he looooves reading aloud to his children every night, and playing with them as well, so much that you almost begin to forget who's the child and who's the parent (i just love the idea of erwin being a child at heart and letting it all out once he becomes a father)

of course he will teach his kids anything and everything, from history to astronomy to mythology to urban legends. and he answers every! single! question! that they might have. even if they're silly. he takes every single question seriously and goes on an endless tangent every time

he carries his babies around in these little slings (is that what they are called? well those things)

his genes are so strong all of his kids resemble him sooo much, you'd almost think that he gave birth to them

i feel like i could go on forever tbh dadwin just lives rent free in my head 24/7!!!

Keefe took a shuddery breath as the pile of tears on the marble floor grew. He had screwed up, once again. His judgement had been wrong, once again.

It was probably considered rude to cry on Elwin’s, who was letting him spend the night, floor and bedding. Elwin was being ridiculously, no, unreasonably nice. What kind of person just lets some random kid stay at his house? Especially someone who just found out his mother was a wanted criminal? 

Elwin apparently.

Elwin deals with a lot of guilt from not being able to save all the kids who were banished. he doesn't like to think about it or think about himself at all. he puts all his energy into Keefe because he thinks it will be easier to focus on one kid. but it proves to be a lot harder than he had anticipated.
