summary: after you tell your husband that you’re going to be parents you decide to announce it at the sidemen charity match, that is of course, if he scores…
notes: okayyy… last charity match fic I promise! Though I got this request and just had to write it🥹. I hope you all enjoy!!🧸✨🫶🏼
"Josh... I'm pregnant," you quietly told your husband as you walked out of your ensuite bathroom holding a test. "What?" He rushed to sit up, his phone discarded to the other side of the bed. A smile spread across your face. "I'm pregnant!"
He jumped off of the bed to hug you. He squeezed you and spun you around. "Oh my god y/n!" He cheered happily. You hadn't exactly been trying but you'd spoken about it and decided that it'd just happen when it was meant to and here you were.
You'd both decided to keep it from the fans for as long as possible. You weren't on social media -other than a private account for friends and family- so it wasn't that hard to do. The sidemen boys were ecstatic when you told them, as were the girls. "Finally put the dick in, my broski!" Is what JJ had said.
When you reached five months you were having the conversation about possible ways to announce the pregnancy. "I mean... we could just do an insta post, a little boring though," you said as your head lay in Joshes lap, while he watched tv on the sofa.
He perked up suddenly. You could practically envision the light bulb turning on in his brain. "Okay, what about we do it at the charity match...? I'd do the ball under the shirt celebration if I was to score," He proposed.
You liked the idea, all the attention on Josh while you just got to watch, plus he had a pretty great chance of actually scoring since he was going to be the striker. "That's perfect."
When the day of the match came around you could tell Josh was nervous. He had so much pressure on him, being the only sideman not to score and all. But you were able to reassure him and told him to try to enjoy the day.
You didn't take your eyes off of your husband for the entire game. During the whole first half the boys were doing everything possible to get Josh his goal, but all the attempts were futile.
You got a message from Tobi ten minutes into halftime saying that Josh wasn't in a great way and asking if you could give him a pep-talk. You ended up going all the way down to the changing rooms.
"Hi," you greeted Josh gently. "What're you doing down here?" He asked, standing up straight after he'd been leaning against the hallway wall, just outside the entrance to the sidemen's team changing rooms.
"Tobi said you needed a pep-talk," you replied while intertwining your fingers with his. "Right... yeah, I'm slightly shitting myself," He sighed. You wrapped your arms around him in a comforting hug.
"Remember I told you to enjoy it? It doesn't matter if you don't score but you definitely won't if you psych yourself out too much," you attempted to reassure him. He nodded, instantly looking more confident. "Okay, enjoy. I love you and I'll see you after." You kissed his cheek before quickly getting back up to your seat.
You managed to catch JJ performing 'the thick of it' and you mouthed the words through the entire thing, though the songs a little cringe you can't deny the catchiness of it and it seemed like the entire stadium was also singing along.
When the match started up again you were knocked right back into focus. The moment the sidemen team got given a penalty and you saw your husband, Josh, walking up to take it you could barely contain yourself.
You watched on the screen as he took two deep breath. Your hand subconsciously circled your rounded stomach as you watched, Talia -your pregnancy buddy- sat next to you, also on the edge of her seat.
When he took the shot and scored you jumped up and cheered louder than you ever had before, your hands clapping together like an excited seal as relief flooded your body. The crowd was electric as everyone had been waiting for him to have his moment.
He stepped forward, grabbed the ball, shoved it under his shirt and ran to the corner flag, then he pulled a little white baby grow out of his pocket that read 'baby Zerkaa 2025!'.
Somehow the crowd managed to cheer even louder than when the ball hit the back of the net. All of his, and the other team celebrated with him. Some of the players that were unaware of the baby looked even more shocked than the crowd.
Within minutes your phone began blowing up with messages from anyone and everyone, congratulating you and Josh. "That was so fucking sweet y/n!" Talia hugged you as tears lined her lash line.
After the match it only took Josh around fifteen minutes from leaving the pitch to go and find you. He had a cheesy smile on his face when you saw him. "God I love you," he whispered into your hair when he finally hugged you, all the nerves from earlier nowhere to be found.
He took you down to the changing rooms so you could tell the boys something that you'd been keeping a secret for the past few weeks. Some of the players were already gone but the six sidemen were still there since Josh had asked them to wait.
"So, we wanted to tell you that we're having..." the boys gasped, eyes widening in anticipation. "A boy!" Josh practically yelled. "No fucking way!" "The first sideman junior!" "Ayyy! I'm so happy for you both!" They cheered excitedly.
You looked to Josh, as they flailed about, and smiled, you'd never felt happier. And the way he was looking back at you, you knew he thought the same and you were one hundred percent right.

summary: you and Josh spend a wholesome day together with your newborn daughter.
notes: hey my loves! I had someone ask for another zerkaa fic and I’ve only made one so here we go🫶🏼. I hope you enjoy!!🤗🧸💞
I woke to the sounds of hysterical crying. "Josh! Your turn." I whispered as I shook him awake. "Ok. I'm up, I'm up." He pushed himself out of the bed. Minutes later he returned with Poppy in his arms, feeding her a bottle. The room filled with the sounds of her quietly drinking and both of our slow breathing. Once she finished Josh burped her and carefully placed her back in her cot.
A few hours later we got up. Josh made breakfast while I got myself and the baby ready. I smiled as our two month old bundle of joy giggled. "You're in a good mood this morning Pop!" I finished putting her onesie on then took her into the kitchen. Josh turned to me. "Foods almost ready." He smiled. We've gotten so much closer as a couple since Poppy was born. In the first week our relationship was tested slightly but now that we're in a proper routine we've been really enjoying being parents.
Once we were all ready and had eaten our breakfast we left the house. Josh pushed the buggy as I walked beside him, both of us enjoying the fresh breeze as we slowly walked down the street. Almost fifteen minutes later we arrived outside of the supermarket. I began grabbing everything on our list and placing it into the trolley. I picked up some of the chocolate best cereal (the sidemen's cereal brand), which is my current favourite. Obviously Josh is very happy about that.
After paying and bagging everything up we walked home, this time I pushed the baby and Josh carried all of the bags. Poppy didn't make a peep the entire trip, she blissfully slept as we completed our errands. Though just as we arrived outside of our front door Poppy woke up and she was now not in the best of moods.
I gently rocked her as she screamed. "Shh. Calm down. It's ok. Shh." I whispered and thankfully she stopped crying, the noise being reduced to small sniffles. Josh had to go and film an among us video for more sidemen so I sat down to watch some tv while he did so.
Josh finished hours later. I had already had some lunch so I grabbed the portion I had set aside for him out of the fridge. "Thanks babe." He kissed my forehead. I smiled up at him. "You're welcome. It must be so exhausting playing that game." I joked. He shook his head slightly with a chuckle.
Later that night I put Poppy to bed then snuck out of our room to go and join Josh on the sofa. I plopped down next to him. He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into him. "I love you so much." He whispered. My heart melted. I placed my hand on his, squeezing slightly. "I love you too, Josh."
