#dad!william

Dad!william is 100% the dad that is able to calm his baby down so quickly. It’s like magic and you’re honestly jealous because it just takes longer for you to get them to stop crying and being fussy. Seeing him laying on the couch with his shirt off and your newborn laying on his chest is the most adorable thing you’ve ever seen. They’re both completely passed out and you could almost cry because this is all you ever wanted and you thank your lucky stars for such an amazing husband and an angel of a baby. But the advantage you have on him is your boobs and even though they’ll take a bottle, it’s much more soothing for them if it’s straight from the tap and that makes William just a little jealous (he’s jealous of the babies and miffed about how him giving them a bottle doesn’t work as well). He definitely starts speaking to the kids in Swedish from the get go. He’ll sing them nursery rhymes and coo at them in Swedish. I can imagine him having a big family like 4-5 kids, maybe the last one is a little bit of an oopsie baby but not completely because you both wanted another one just not then. - 🌼

I have another dad!william thought. So I remember seeing a tweet from a reporter saying that at a leafs event where they had kids there William was with some of them and Carlton came over to say hi and one of the kids was kinda scared of Carlton. So William said to the little kid “look how soft Carlton is” and encouraged him to touch Carlton and see that he was really soft and he wasn’t so scary and the kid was less scared. Like that’s just so sweet and intuitive for him to do that. I’ve always thought he would be really good with kids because he has so many younger siblings and stuff but that just made my heart melt. It made me think about how he’d be with his own kids when they get hurt or are afraid of something. He’d be so gentle and comforting. - 🌼

I’m on my period rn so I’m thinking about how much I want William here to take care of me, I get bad back pains and I just want him to rub my lower back and get a heating pad for my cramps. It also got me thinking about how good he’d be during pregnancy and birth. He’d just be the absolute best, most supportive. Always looking out for you, you could be 4 months pregnant and not showing much and he’s making sure you’re okay going down stairs and picking up things. He goes to almost every appointment (but ofc he misses some bc of travel) he 100% cries when he hears the heartbeat for the first time and when he feels the baby kick for the first time. He thinks you look so beautiful pregnant and will not put up with you critiquing how you look and how your body’s changed because he thinks you’re glowing and it makes you even more gorgeous that you’re creating a human inside you, half of him and half of you. It’s just your luck you go into labor right before a game in the middle of the season, like he’s told during warmups and sprints back to the locker room and puts his game suit back on and gets to the hospital in record time making sure nothing big happens before he gets there. He lets you squeeze the hell out of his hand during contractions and when you’re pushing, encouraging you and trying to keep you calm while inside he’s freaking out. And when the baby (I’ve always imagined him having a girl first idk) is born and put on your chest, both of you are crying and when he holds her for the first time he’s so overwhelmed with emotion, she’s so small in his arms and he can’t believe he’s a dad now, he looks over to you sleeping in the hospital bed and he can’t help but smile bc he’s got his two favorite girls with him. - 🌼

I feel like dad!william would be so adorable. His children would all be inevitably blonde and have his blue eyes. He’d teach them Swedish and teach his son(s) how to play hockey. He’d be so caring and understanding, I would love to see that 🥺🥹🥰🌼
