\ cigar kisses are the most kind of kisses the two share. Rowan doesn’t like his lips being touched or his neck by other lips but he’ll indulge Ingo every now and then. he likes it best when Ingo presses close and kisses his shoulders or his pulse point on his wrist. 

\ in turn, Ingo’s head in general gets kissed a lot. Rowan likes the feeling of the other man’s hair (I hate bald Ingo so he has a full set of hair, even more for a man his age) 

\ their ‘date nights’ consist of Rowan instructing the trio to stay the hell out of the house for the night, unless something has happened or the kids are to flighty and anxious, and making a home made dinner for Ingo. the other picks out drink parings and acts as the bartender for the night. they sit close together on the couch where they slowly pick at their plates and just talk about everything and anything that comes to mind. 

\ it’s not uncommon for the two’s schedule to vary in the morning. Rowan was still an bastard that stayed up doing work or checking the progress of projects that his assistants mostly take care of, regardless of how old he’s gotten the sleepless nights come with the job-he’s just up more often then naught do to his ptsd so it’s best to use the moments to be ahead of the curve when you can. 

\ their ‘common’ morning would be Rowan getting up around 3Am to check the Pokémon under his care, leaving Ash’s be once they transfer over because he’s not taking care of 30 fucking Tauros’s. that lasts for about an hour until he’s able to come back to the house around 4-4;30AM. Gary is usually up by this time, Umbreon still tucked in bed, and has the coffee pot full when the Professor gets back inside. saving the first cup for the older man while working on breakfast. 

\ Ingo’s up and out of their bedroom around 6AM, woken at 5 when Rowan comes upstairs to put on proper clothes for the day and to hand him a cup of coffee, and he takes Gary’s Arcanine and Ash’s Samurott (both Unovian and Hisuian) on a walk around the small Town. stopping by the little bakery-deli that’s the first shop to open and getting his own breakfast and treats for the three big Pokémon that wait patiently outside. 

\ if Ash is home then he’s still tucked into bed, dead asleep to the world, as everyone realized it’s best not to wake the Kantonian and to leave him when he naturally arouses around 7;30-8Am. if Dawn’s up and about at the time, which is rare becasue Zoey usually keeps her weighed down in bed, they usually meet up at the edge of town where she comes from her Mom’s house. they walk to the Lab and greet the assistants. 

\ most often then not, Ingo will leave a warm breakfast sandwich with extra Emboar bacon and a royal English's tea that Lucas always always snatches up because he always wakes up late for work. Rowan will always scoff and role his eyes if he’s in the office when Ingo comes in but always calls out to Lucas before he darts on past to go around Sinnoh to acquire what the Professor needs. 

\ one thing Rowan has and will continue to set his foot down hard is décor in his house and office in the lab. he knows immediately if somethings off if he walks into a room. he doesn’t even have to look around to know what's missing, shifted, or something was added. those spaces were still his but he’s okay in relenting a little control since the kids try their best to be good. Ash and Gary's murderous and pyro tendencies aside. 

\ Ingo knew he wasn’t going back to Unova in the near future when Rowan ask’s for his opinion on getting new furniture for the large living room. since his house is now filled with ‘freeloaders’, his words not Ingo. 

\ Unovian country music is played the most often in the house besides Opera. none of that new age shit, it’s only classic country music. Ingo has no problem because he likes both well enough and Ash is always requestion the country over the Opera but Dawn and Gary always complain. 

\ the only time their dates are out of the house is when Ingo takes Rowan to go dancing. this is when Gary and Ash are out of the Region Dawn thankfully throws herself into her fashion work during this time as well. giving the two men at least a couple days to themselves. 

\ Rowan is of course a fan of line dancing but Ingo catches him off guard when he suggests they go swing dancing of all things. 

\ even though Ingo’s taller Rowans clothes still hang off his frame since the Professor has to account for his naturally broad shoulders and muscle mass. most often then naught Ingo has some piece of Rowan’s clothing on his person. may it be just as something small as socks or a pair of sweats and a sweater. 

\ Rowan is still very much a Marine at heart, and with the Dragalge attack, he’s thrown himself into his health. this leads to him bullying the kids in eating better, working out, staying hydrated, but most importantly how they hold themselves since it can fuck a person spine to be hunched all the time. 

\ he became Ingo’s personal trainer when he noticed just how naturally hunched he was after returning from Sinnoh, he held himself quite differently in the past when they first met, and even worked with Dawn and Zoey to make a discreet back brace that helps keep his shoulders back and his spine aligned. 

Even if it was for a bunch of little boys swinging blindly at a plastic ball, it was a beautiful day for a t-ball tournament. Aelin was settled on the bleachers, eyes on Evalin where she ran about the playground to her left. Arden wasn’t quite up to bat yet, she couldn’t even see his little helmet clad head where he was in the dugout, so her eyes alternated between Evie running rampant and her husband where he stood a few feet away from her on the field.

Today, he was wearing khaki pants and the team polo, the pants framing his ass criminally good. So good that she almost felt dirty admiring him at a kid’s sporting event, but how could she resist? Even the women in front of her, all married to their respective husbands, had eyes wandering to where Rowan was currently bent over with his hands on his knees talking to the next kid up to bat for their team. 

“I mean, look at the man. He no doubt knows how to treat a woman,” one of the women thirsted, leading Aelin to snort. One of the women glanced over her shoulder at the sound and Aelin offered her a smile. 

“His ass? Fantastic,” she chimed in, all of the women before her nodding in agreement. 

“Do you know if he’s married?” Another one asked, the only of the women down front without a ring. Aelin did her best to look as though she were thinking hard about the rumors she’d heard of the new coach, let her eyes zero in on his left hand. 

“I’m not sure,” she said, “But no ring.” Because he’d forgot to put it on after his shower this morning, and it was sitting on the bathroom counter by the sink last she had seen it.

The women kept casually chatting about Rowan, about his ass in those pants, about how hot the tattoo that twisted down his left arm was. Aelin nodded in agreement just about every comment, even throwing in a few herself about how green his eyes were and she would willingly leave her husband for the man. 

Sometime later, after Arden had made the winning catch of the game and Evalin was back at her mother’s side, Rowan jogged over to where she sat in the bleachers. He was beaming at her like he’d never been more proud of their son, of her, even of Evalin and the castle she had pointed out to him that she’d made in the sandbox. He couldn’t seem to help himself as he brushed her hair back and pressed a kiss to her lips, one that had her grinning against his mouth. 

“Good game, coach." A wide grin was on her lips as he chuckled, unable to resist a second kiss to her mouth. "We brought snacks today,” she reminded him as his hand fell onto the small swell of her abdomen where their newest babe was making his or her home. 

“I’ll go get them,” he said, bending down to kiss her stomach before pulling the keys from his pocket and half jogging out to the car. Aelin was still smiling watching him leave as she turned to look back at the mother’s that had been checking her husband out the entire game. She merely shrugged.

“We meant no disrespect,” one of the married ones started, but Aelin waved her off. 

“There was none taken. I certainly don’t blame you,” she winked, hopping off the bleachers as Arden sprinted up to his mom with the little plastic ball in his hand, signed and dated by his dad and the other two coaches. Aelin beamed at her son, lifting him up to press soft kisses to his chubby cheeks. 

No, she didn’t blame those other women at all. Not when she was so lucky to live a life where she had two beautiful babies, a third on the way, and a husband that looked like that. 

Olive lay on her back, her little hands and feet kicking the air. Tiny fingers reached and reached for the toys that dangled above her head, the play mat beneath her crinkling as she kicked and cooed. Aelin lay on the floor next to her, head in hand and eyes locked on her beautiful baby girl. It made her heart swell and ache all at once, seeing the creation that came solely out of the love she and her fiancé felt for each other.

Aelin was exhausted — completely and utterly so. Olive had been fussy all day, starting in the early hours of the morning and lasting until about fifteen minutes ago. Now, however, she seemed completely content to play and coo at her toys and her mother, and it was taking everything for Aelin to not just keel over and go to sleep while she was happy.

“You know what?” Aelin said to her, fingers trailing up her full belly and eventually booping the baby on the nose. In the other room, she heard the front door open and close. “I’m feeling rather forgiving today, despite all the trouble you’ve given me.” She’d just began to pepper kisses all over Olive’s face, something that had the baby giggling wildly as Rowan strolled into the living room.

“All the trouble she’s given you?” He asked, a grin on his face as he dropped his bag onto one of the bar chairs. Aelin nodded, rolling onto her back as Rowan dropped down on top of her. His hands were on either side of her head and he did a push up, his lips meeting hers before he extended his arms and hovered over her.

“She’s hated me all day, until a few minutes ago and I’m convinced it’s because she knew you were coming home.”

“Does she?” He mused, pressing another kiss to his wife’s mouth before he shifted to sit up, scooping their daughter up in his arms. The sight alone made Aelin’s heart want to explode, and she curled around him and rest her head on his lap. “You look exhausted, my love.”

“I am so tired,” she said, her voice cracking on the last word. Tears spilled over her eyes before she covered her face with her arms and sobbed into the crook of her elbows. She heard him shift, and then his hands were pulled her arms from her face, lacing all of their fingers as he bent down to kiss her nose, her lips.

“Go lay down, baby. I’ve got her. It’s okay,” he whispered, pressing another kiss to her lips.
