Hi! Can you do an imagine where Roger start to have grey hair and is afraid that the reader will start to think that he's getting old and maybe won't like him as much as she did when he was younger?
i LOVE this requestÂ
You walked into your house pushing the door with your back as you held the grocery bags in both of your arms. âIâm back homeâ you announced on your way to the kitchen but had no replies back. Once you put the bags on the table you could hear some voices and the television going on in the living room. After putting all the food in the cupboards and in the fridge you walked over to the lounge finding your eight years old Elliot sat on the couch watching cartoons and your four years old Hazel playing with lego on the carpet. âHey lovesâ you say as you sat down. Â âHi mommyâ your daughter says as she kept playing and your son laid his head on your lap cuddling on you âWhereâs dad?â you ask as you play with your sonâs hair âBathroomâ he replies not leaving his gaze from the television.
You met Roger ten years ago when he was thirty and you were twenty-six. You were working as a journalist and had an interview with the band, you could see how he was flirting with you and you couldnât lie that he was extremely attractive. You couldnât say it was love at first sight, yes, you were charmed by him but you also knew that he was famous for being a ladys man. What you didnât know was that he can be pretty persistent and canât accept a no as an answer. He sent flowers to your office and kept calling until you agreed on going out on a date with him. You found out that behind the man who tried to follow the rock star clichĂš there actually was a really kind and funny man and it was inevitable for you to fall in love with him. After two years of relationship, you found out that you were pregnant with your first child Elliot, a surprise for you and Roger but you both couldnât be happier to start your own little family. Four years later, both because Elliot couldnât stop asking you for a little sibling and because you and Rog wanted another kid, Hazel came into your life and you could feel that your little family was finally complete.
After a while that Roger still didnât come back from the bathroom you started to wonder what was actually happening to him. âIâm going to check on dadâ Lifting softly your son from your lap you got up from the couch and walked to the main bathroom. âLove?â you asked knocking at the door. âYes?â Rogâs voice was low.âIs everything alright?â you spoke through the door, your hand already on the handle.âMore or less.ââCan I come in?â âHmmhâ he mumbled. You slowly opened the door not knowing what you would find in front of you, and you could think of may scenarios but none of them was what you saw. Roger was standing in front of the mirror, hands in his hair as he kept looking at his reflection âI have grey hair.â His eyes still fixed on the mirror. âI knowâ you had to bite your lip to hold back the smile that was forming on your lips. Your back was laying against the doorframe as you watched your husbandâs figure âItâs not one or two anymore, basically my whole head is grey.â âWell, I can say that I noticed.â A small chuckle left your mouth.Roger sighed as he walked to the toilet and after closing it he sat on it. âIâm getting oldâ he mumbled looking at the floor.âWe all are love.â You said with a tender voice as you walked toward him.âYes but youâre not as old as meâ He argued back looking up at you. âI mean, look at you, you are thirty-six and still so gorgeous while I am turning all grey, I even have gained some weight. I wouldnât be surprised if youâd find yourself a more attractive man.ââOh, donât be stupid.â You spat back. âI donât even want you to think that I will ever find someone else.â You straddled his lap, laying your hands on his neck as your thumbs stroked his skin. âAfter ten years and two kids, I can also say that I donât look as good as I did when I was twenty-six. Roger, I donât want to sound like a bitch but you already had white hair for a while and if it had been a problem for me I wouldnât have married you last year, donât you think?â You chuckled looking at him and a small smile formed on his lips. âYouâre forty years  old, itâs normal to have grey hair.â âIâm still not forty. My birthdayâs in a month.â He mumbled.âOkay.â You rolled your eyes jokingly. âYou are thirty-nine and you are the sexiest man I know.â âHotter than Richard Gere?â âAre you kidding? Way hotter than Richard Gere.â Your smile reassured him and made him understand that he was making a whole scene for nothing. âNo one compares to you.âYour lips found his ones and what started as a simple chaste kiss turned out in a hot making out session but once Rogerâs hands started to wander under your t-shirt you had to stop them. âThe kids are in the living room.â You said as you laid your forehead against his and pulled away from the kiss to catch your breath. âLetâs put them to bed.â He suggested as his lips found your neck. âItâs four in the afternoon.â You giggled as you pulled away stopping him.âDoes it mean that I have to wait till tonight for you to show me how sexy you think I am?âYou nodded biting your bottom lip. âYouâll have to wait till tonight to know how sexy I think my old man his.âHe laughed and after that you got up he slapped lightly your bum âIf Iâm that old maybe I wonât be able to do certain things.ââOnly your loss baby.â You smirked while leaving the bathroom. âOnly your loss.â
anonymous said: Hi there!! Could you do an AU Roger Tayor fanfiction where he is a single dad and he meets the reader and really likes her and finally introduces her to his kid and she is so sweet with them and then eventually the kid ends up calling her mommy and just cute af fluff please and thank you??
(a/n: iâm so sorry i had to make the kid a girl. Imagining roger w a little girl just spoiling the shit out of her made my anti-kid heart swell a little bit. gif credit to @imladrs hehe ok time 2 code a website for class before itâs due woops)
âA surprise?! A puppy!â
âItâs not a puppy, sweetheart, itâs something better!â you heard Roger explain from the other side of the door, and you had to giggle as you listened for Camelliaâs sweet little voice.
âBetter than a puppy?â the young girl asked in disbelief, a small bit of attitude in her tone as you heard Roger laugh and walk towards the door. Suddenly, you were extremely nervous about all of this. It didnât help that as they got to the door, Cam exclaimed, âDaddy, nothing is better than a puppy.â
âOh, donât be silly,â Roger dismissed teasingly, and you heard him pick up his daughter, making her squeal in delight. âUp you go, lovie. Are you ready?â
This was it. You felt your heart pounding in your chest as the front door unlocked, and you briefly imagined the worst case scenarios â Cam takes one look at you, decides youâre not interesting, and asks where the puppy is. Or she doesnât even acknowledge you, or worse â she does, but she says she doesnât like you.
Swallowing hard, you put on a smile as the door swung open. There was Roger, dressed to the nines in a simple t-shirt and track pants. His short but slightly curly hair was sleep-worn, and he looked very much like a dad today, which was not at all what he usually looked like. It was like seeing him again for the first time.
You remembered when youâd seen him for the first time. They were recording The Game in Munich, where you were visiting family, and youâd run into him by chance at a record store one afternoon. You were perusing the selections when youâd picked up an old Queen album, and a man nearby had scoffed at your selection â or so youâd thought.
âWhatâs so funny?â you asked, curiously watching the blonde who was standing around four feet away, holding a Jimi Hendrix vinyl. âQueen not your cup of tea?â
The manâs eyes were obscured behind dark sunglasses, unreadable â he didnât remotely look like the last time youâd seen a picture of Roger Taylor, so it was no wonder you didnât recognize him. You were admittedly a bit out of the loop, so the last time youâd seen a picture of the man in passing was years ago, and he was sporting a long, shaggy haircut and a lighter, bohemian-esque fit. This man was in a leather jacket and black tshirt, with a chunky chain necklace to match the wallet chain that was hanging from the belt loop on his jeans. His wavy blonde hair was cropped to a medium-short length, and it was unbelievably messy. There was an innocent look to his face, but a small smirk played at the corner of his mouth, as if he knew more than he let on.
âOh, Queen?â he said, and you marveled at the Anglo-Cornish accent that pervaded the surprisingly mellow voice of someone who looked like theyâd just stepped out of a Black Sabbath concert. âTheyâre all a bunch of cock-stars, really.â
âAh.â You looked at the Queen II album cover in your hand, pointing to the one on the left (which you later found out was John) and looking at the man again. âHe looks like a nice chap. Not bad looking either.â
âOh, he might be the worst of them all,â he quickly replied, an impish grin sneaking its way onto his lips. âIâve met them all. Theyâre insufferable. Donât waste your time on them, gorgeous.â
âReally?â you asked, intrigued now and mainly ignoring his come-on. Although you werenât sure whether you should trust a strangerâs word that theyâd met such a big band, anything was possible. After all, youâd heard they were recording in the area. âHonestly? I donât really know any of them. Usually donât listen to this type of music.â
The toothy grin on his face was practically cracking his cheeks by this point, and you tried not to be too unnerved by this giddiness as he spoke. âThe lead singer is a big drama queen, and that chap you pointed to? Right prick. Full of himself. The drummer might be the only one worse than him.â He chuckled, then shook his head and set the Hendrix album down, stepping just a foot or two closer and leaning against the stack of records next to him. âYou said you donât listen to this kind of music. What brings you over to this part of the store then?â
âMe?â you asked, almost confused that he was showing interest in your record selection. But youâd been chatted up in weirder places than a record store, so you played into it. âI usually listen to Stevie Wonder and the Commodores and Marvin Gaye, stuff like that. Just thought Iâd change it up a bit, you know? Iâm visiting an aunt here for a month or two since I just graduated uni, so Iâve got time out my arse for new music.â
âUni? So you were a student. Where at?â he asked, moving his sunglasses to the top of his head. He had inquisitive eyes that were a shocking shade of blue, and he watched you patiently as he waited for an answer.
âLondon.â
âLondon, a lovely place. Iâm actually from London myself, Iâm also in the city visiting⊠What did you study at uni? Modeling?â
Scoffing at the notion, you were about to answer when a much taller man with a wild mop of brown curls approached the strange blonde from behind, clapping a hand to his shoulder and looking at you with curious eyes before looking down at the blonde. âMade a friend, Roger?â came the smooth, slightly lower voice of the second strange man, and you swore youâd seen his face before as he looked back to you again. After a quick glance at the album in your hand, he gave a quick chuckle and let go of Rogerâs shoulder. âYou going to buy that for her?â
âI was just telling her how the guitarist is a massive knobhead,â Roger replied teasingly, and you looked down to the album to be smacked across the face with the answer. The two men in front of you were right there, on the cover of Queen II, and youâd been sitting here like an idiot, not even realizing you were shooting the shit with one of the members of the band.
âOh, eat a dick,â the man with curls laughed, shoving Rogerâs head forward and grabbing the Hendrix album that heâd left sitting on top of other records. âBetter have told her the drummer sucks something awful.â
A blush was quickly creeping up on your cheeks as you witnessed the interaction, not sure if you should apologize for not recognizing them or be thankful that he wasnât offended. But Roger ended up being delighted to find a new Queen fan in you, and took down your number before he left with the man who introduced himself as Brian.
Roger ended up taking up most of your time in Munich after that, taking you all over the city on romantic dates, including a private boat ride up the river. Even once, he brought you by the studio for a brief visit when Freddie called him. You were ecstatic to see that side of the music industry, and you even got to meet John, who was amused to hear that youâd thought he looked nice on the cover of Queen II (Roger got an earful for that one later).
In fact, you spent so much time around him that you were upset when it was time for you to finally leave. But Roger promised heâd visit you as soon as they were done recording, and he did. He also said he had a surprise for you when he got back, and you were floored to find out what the surprise really was.
He had a 4 year old daughter from a previous relationship that heâd been dying to tell you about, and she was almost a carbon copy of him. Beautiful blonde hair, ocean blue eyes, and from what heâd told you, an attitude bigger than the Earth itself. But she was sweet as well, and she loved her dad dearly, just as much as he loved her.
âI want you to meet her,â heâd said one day, when you were both lounging on your bed back in London. He was playing with your hand, his head resting on your belly as he looked up at you.
âMeet Camellia?â You panicked a little, chewing on your lip as you ran a hand through his hair. This was a bit sudden for you, seeing as youâd only been involved together for around 3 to 4 months, but maybe he was just talking in the future. âWhen?â
âTomorrow,â he answered quickly, an edge of excitement in his voice as he propped himself up on his elbows, one on either side of you. Oh, Jesus, tomorrow? âSheâs itching to meet you. Ever since I showed her a picture of you on the river in Munich, sheâs been wanting to meet âdadâs girly-friend.ââ
You cooed softly, smiling as he crawled to hover over you, trapping you down to the bed. âBut Rog, what if she ends up not liking me?â you worried, reaching up to brush a stray hair from his forehead before pressing your palm to his cheek. He smiled affectionately, then pressed a quick kiss to the inside of your hand before nuzzling it.
âSheâll adore you, promise.â He then kneeled between your legs, pressing his fists into the mattress as he carefully lowered himself so he was laying on top of you, resting his head on your chest. You shifted a bit so he rested between your legs better, then began to brush your fingers back through his hair and ponder the idea a bit.
âIs she not with her mom tomorrow?â you questioned, furrowing your eyebrows as you stared at the ceiling. You couldnât really pinpoint why you felt so overwhelmed by the concept of meeting Cam â it was possible that it was mainly because you desperately wanted her acceptance. Roger had quickly become a fixture in your life, and you were pretty fond of him. It would be horrible if the number one girl in his life decided that she didnât like number two, which was you. You couldnât even let yourself make Roger choose between the two of you â youâd have to leave him, just to make Cam happy. That thought scared you a lot.
âNo, I gave her the next few days off. I wanted to spend alone time with the little bugger.â You could feel the rumble of his chuckle against your chest, resounding deep into your heart, and you smiled a bit as you shook your head.
âAlone time?â you repeated, and Roger laughed at your not-so-subtle prying.
âAlone time with you included, of course.â You raised an eyebrow, and Roger looked up at you, grinning before moving back up to support himself on his elbows again, giving you a quick kiss. âBaby, I swear. She will love you. I might have to beg her to spend time with me at the end of the day.â
And that was that. Youâd agreed to come over in the morning, and now here you were, a fatherly Roger holding an energetic and curious young girl on his shoulders. She was peeking down at you over her fatherâs head, and he gave you a wide smile before looking up at Cam.
âCammy, this is the lady Iâve been telling you about. Y/N, come in!â he invited, opening the door wider and stepping to the side as Cam never took her eyes off you. She had a devilish grin, much like her dad, and you smiled right back as you stepped inside, looking around a bit at the unfamiliar den area. âItâs a bit of a mess, sorry. Cam here has been a whirlwind this morning.â
âHave not!â the 4 year-old protested, plugging Rogerâs nose as an act of vengeance. âYouâre a whirlywind,â she taunted back, wiggling his nose and making him laugh as he looked up at her.
âHelp, donât let her take my nose!â he cried out in a melodramatic (and nasally) voice, looking at you as Cam giggled in pure glee and pretended to snatch his nose before he sat her back down on the ground and held a hand over his face. âOh no, donât give it to Y/N, Iâll never see it again!â
The reverse psychology worked remarkably well, and she ran straight over to you, handing you the invisible nose before running off and shrieking. âRun! Run!â You were absolutely dumbfounded by how flawlessly he functioned as a dad, so you stood there, smiling in awe at him for a second before remembering your mission. Smiling sheepishly, you pretended to put the ânoseâ in your back pocket, then took off after Cam.
Rogerâs laughter echoed through the den as he jogged after you two, and you found Cam peeking out of the closet in the hallway, waiting for you to come in. When you did, she pulled the door shut with a little struggle, and then shushed you quickly as you two crouched in the semi-darkness. âDaddy will never find us in here.â
âGood thinking,â you whispered, watching Rogerâs shadows shift by under the door as he called out your names. You feigned handing her the nose, which she accepted with both of her hands. âWhere should we hide his nose?â
âLetâs run and hide it in the backyard on the count of three,â she whispered back, listening as Rogerâs voice got farther away. âOne, two.. three!â
You threw open the door and she ran out immediately, her long, thin blonde hair flying out behind her as she came face to face with Roger, who was hiding just around the corner. He picked her up quickly, tickling her and eliciting shrieks and giggles that made break out into laughter.
âWhereâs it at? Iâll tickle you until you tell me!â he laughed, moving her to his side and attacking her tummy with relentless tickles as she squirmed and writhed with laughter.
âY/N has it!â she gasped out between laughs, and your jaw dropped as you realized she was even more clever than youâd anticipated.
Letting Cam down gently to the floor, Roger watched as she took off again, and you shrugged as he walked over to you and gave you a quick kiss on the forehead. âGood morning, love. Have you had breakfast yet?â His arms snaked around your waist, and he glanced behind him to make sure Cam wasnât in sight before he stole another kiss, this one on the lips and far more eager than the last.
Pulling away before he got too into it, you smiled fondly and rested your hands on his chest, nodding. âI grabbed something on the way here, had to calm my nerves.â
âNerves? Over her?â he gently teased, squeezing your waist and making you roll your eyes playfully. âIsnât she a little spitfire? Iâve been chasing her all morning. Canât wait for her to pass out in a few hours.â
âShe is, she is,â you agreed, kissing him one last time before reaching behind you to take his hands and unwrap them from around you. He pouted a bit, but didnât have time to complain, for Cam came back around the corner with a new game already in mind.
You spent the rest of the morning entertaining her and all her wild ideas. When she finally got sleepy just after lunch, Roger was more than happy to tuck her in for a nap. He quickly roped you into a cuddle session on the large recliner in his living room as soon as she was out, and you found yourself wrapped up in his toned, slim arms, your legs weaved together as you both talked about your first impressions.
âSheâs so smart, like unbelievably clever.â Roger yawned a bit, stretching before wrapping his arms back around you and grinning, his eyes heavy with exhaustion.
He looked adorably sleepy, and his eyelids fluttered closed as he mumbled, âDonât know where in the hell she got that from, because her motherâs no genius.â
âRoger, be nice!â you scolded quietly, Roger snickering to himself as he pulled you closer and buried his face in your neck. âSheâs a brainiac, just like her dad.â Roger smiled against your neck, but only made a sleepy noise of contentment in response. Admittedly, you were getting a bit tired too, and cuddly Roger wasnât helping as you felt yourself being lulled off to sleep quickly. âWhat if she wakes up while weâre still asleep?â you murmured, closing your eyes as you cuddled closer, wrapping your arms around his neck.
âTrust me, sheâll get us up,â he muttered, and you wondered what in the hell that was supposed to mean before you quickly drifted off to sleep, content and warm in Rogerâs embrace.
You found out what that meant. You were quickly jolted out of your sleep not even an hour later as Camellia pounced on the both of you, garnering a quick yelp from you and a groan from Roger as you both stirred and blinked sleepily. âNaptimeâs over, letâs play house!â
This day quickly became a routine in the months that post-production of Queenâs album neared its close. When work would allow it, youâd find yourself over at his place, spending the day with him and Cam. She quickly grew attached to you, and Roger always told you how she lamented over your absence whenever you couldnât make it. In fact, she had gotten so used to you being around that sheâd accidentally let the M word slip one day, closer to Rogerâs time to leave for tour.
âDaddy, no boys allowed!â Cam sassed, trying to shut the door to her bedroom as Roger peeked in at the two of you playing with her dolls. You were cross-legged near her dollhouse, and you raised an eyebrow before sticking your tongue out at Roger playfully. That got a laugh out of him, and he fought back to keep the door open just enough for his head to poke through as he begged Cam to let him in.
âGo away, boys have cooties!â you teased, and Roger shot you a devilish look as you grinned innocently and waved at him.
âYeah, leave mum and I alone!â Cam added, and that brought you to a full stop as Rogerâs face quickly softened. He looked at you with an apologetic look, but you felt a slow smile creep onto your face. If she thought of you as that important of a person in her life, you were more than okay with that. Sure, you werenât anywhere near ready to be a mom, but the fact that she trusted and respected you enough to call you mom thrilled you.
Relief washed over his face as he realized you werenât alarmed, but relief quickly turned to pain as he forgot to fight back against Camâs incessant pushing on the door. His head was briefly squeezed between the door and the doorframe, and you couldnât help but laugh as Cam giggled evilly at the look on his face.
Giving you a quick glance, he pouted, but there was an almost imperceptible smile hinting at the corner of his lips as he retreated. You watched fondly as he waved at Cam, who was peeking at him through the doorway, and she waved back before quickly shutting the door and starting to walk back over to you.
âPysch!â Roger yelled not even five seconds later, opening the door and forcing his way into the room as Cam whirled around and immediately jumped on him. You laughed as he pretended to fall to the floor from her attack, letting her quickly take over the wrestling match.
Crawling over to where they were, you watched curiously as Roger whispered something in Camâs ear. What were they planning, the little shits? You received a trademark devilish grin from the both of them suddenly, and you had no time to react before you were quickly overwhelmed, Cam shouting in glee as she tickled you and Roger held your hands above your head. âGet âer, Cammy! Donât stop till sheâs cryinâ for mercy!â
Summary: Roger and his daughter Posy spend the afternoon making flower crowns in the garden. Inspired by the song âPeggy-Oâ by Simon and Garfunkel.
Pairings: Implied Roger x wife
Word Count: 1.2k
Warnings: None!
A/N: I got really soft thinking about 70âČs Roger having a little girl named Posy Meddows, and this fic is the result. Itâs cute and sad and really soft. Enjoy! âĄ
Everyone always said she looked like him, with that long blonde hair that turned golden in the afternoon sun and those baby blue eyes that looked at everything with wonder. He thought she had her mumâs features, with dimples that showed every time she giggled and freckles across her cheeks. She was the most beautiful thing heâd ever seen apart from her mum, and he didnât go a day without wondering how heâd gotten so lucky.
She liked to play in the garden, heâd found, wrapping her little hand around one of his fingers and asking him to come with her. How could he do anything but follow? He sat in the grass warmed by the summer sun and watched her play, her lovely face flushed and her her sweet voice telling him everything she could think of. He would never tire of listening to her little stories.
âDo you have to go away soon, daddy?â sheâd asked, sitting in his lap and watching the hummingbirds on the honeysuckle bush. He combed his fingers through her hair.
âA few days,â he said.
âWhere are you going?â
He tried to remember. The locations all seemed to blur together after a while.
âFrance,â he said finally. âYou know, with the Eiffel Tower?â
She hopped up from his lap, her face alight with excitement. âOoh, daddy, itâs gigantic, isnât it? Do you think you could get to the top and see the whole world?â
He smiled. âIâll take one one day and weâll find out.â
âCould I go with you this time?â
He brushed his fingers over her cheek. âNot this time, my love.â
Her shoulders fell. âOh. Okay, daddy. Next time.â
He hated disappointing her more than anything in the world, but he felt that he had become nothing but a disappointment to her. He was gone for months at a time, missing her grow, missing the little things like hand-drawn pictures and bedtime stories and sweet little kisses. He tried to make the most of his time with her when he was home, but every time he left he found it harder to say goodbye.
âLet me show you something Uncle Brian taught me,â he said, wanting to cheer her up. âGo and pick as many daisies as you can, and make sure they have long stems.â
She did as he said and took her time collecting a fistful of flowers, bringing them over to him when she was done. âIs this good, daddy?â
He smiled at her. âPerfect, my lovely,â he said. She beamed and sat next to him on the grass, the skirt of her blue dress laying out around her.
âYou can weave them together like this,â he said, showing her how. âAnd when you have enough, it makes a crown.â
âLike a fairy crown,â she said in a hushed voice.
He chuckled. âYes, like a fairy crown.â He handed the one heâd started to her, helping her weave them together while making one of his own.
âDaddy?â
âHm?â
âCan you sing our song?â
He looked up at her, struck as he often was by just how deeply he loved her. This beautiful thing that had come from him, the little girl who shared his hair and his eyes but had so much sweetness and loveliness that he knew couldn't have come from him. It came from her mum, and it came from her own charm and intelligence and beauty that would only grow as she did.
âOf course I can, sweetheart,â he said. As if he could have denied her anything in his power to give. He sang softly as they worked on their flower crowns, only for her to hear.
âCome a runnin' down the stairs, pretty Posy-o, come a runnin' down the stairs, combing back your yellow hair, youâre the prettiest little girl I've ever seen-o.â
Heâd sung it to her since she was a baby, changing the name âPeggyâ in the song for her name, Posy. Posy Meddows Taylor, the light of his life, the best thing that had ever happened to him. The best of him and her mum. The prettiest little girl in all of England, he was sure.
âIâm finished!â she said excitedly after a while. âHere, daddy, try it on.â
He leaned closer to let her put the crown on his head; she beamed at him.
âYou look very pretty,â she said with a giggle.
He laughed, setting his finished crown on her golden curls. âNot nearly as pretty as you, Posy-o.â
She looked up at him from under her long lashes. âWeâre the king and queen of the fairy kingdom, arenât we, daddy?â
âYes we are,â he said gently, his chest tightening. What he wouldnât give for a lifetime of afternoons like this one, his only care in the world making flower crowns for his daughter. âYouâre going to mind the kingdom while Iâm gone, right?â
She gave a solemn nod. âDonât worry, daddy.â
A sad smile crossed his face. âIâm not worried, sweetheart. I know youâll do perfectly.â
âBut youâll come back soon, though, wonât you?â she asked, suddenly worried.
He gathered her in his arms, kissing her cheek. âBefore you know it, my love. Iâll be missing you every day, though. I miss you so much when Iâm gone.â
She played with his wedding band, turning it round on his finger. âI miss you too, daddy. Why do you have to go away so much?â
He sighed. âYou uncles would have my head if I didnât go with them.â Though he knew itâd cause a fight to ask for more time between tours, he also knew that they understood how he felt. It was just as hard for them to be away from their families, no matter how much they all loved being with each other. It was like they were leading dual lives, being a part of two families at once.
âThey need you to play, donât they?â she asked, interrupting his thoughts. âThey canât play without you, can they, daddy?â
He gave a soft laugh. âNo, they canât.â He should tell them sheâd said that; theyâd get a kick out of it.
âItâs very important work, isnât it?â she asked. He could tell she was repeating what her mum had told her.
âI think so,â he said. âWe make a lot of people really happy, I think.â
She turned to face him, putting her little hand to his face. âYou make me really happy, daddy.â
He took a breath, feeling tears come. He closed his eyes and drew her hand to his lips to kiss her tiny fingers.
âYou make me really happy too,â he said softly, his voice hoarse. âHappier than anything else in the world.â
She leaned against his chest and he held her closer, rocking her gently. He sang her song to her, his voice mixing with the birdsong and the rustling sway of the wildflowers. He memorized the feel of her weight against him, the sweetness of her voice as she sang along with the chorus, the way her fingers went to play with his necklace. He let it wash over him, this perfect afternoon, so he would have it to remember when he was halfway across the world from his little girl.
âI love you, little Posy,â he told her.
Her smile was more beautiful to him than anything else in the world. âI love you too, daddy.â

Dad!Roger where one of your kids walk in you two? Thaaanks đ
Dad!Roger x readerWarnings: sex
âI tugged both in their beds and theyâre now asleepâ Roger said as he closed the door of your bedroom behind his back
âThank youâ you smiled as you made yourself comfortable between the pillows, you had been away the whole day because of work and since Roger was on break from his tour he looked after the children. âDo I have to tug in bed also my beautiful wife?â he smirked as he unbuttoned his shirt.âDo you really have to?â you grinned putting the book you were reading on the bedside table.âI was just suggestingâ he shrugged chuckling.âNoâ you shook your head giggling âI meant, do you really want to sleep?â you asked biting your lip while looking at your husbandâs figure.Roger quirked his brow âWhat are you proposing?â âOh, Iâm pretty sure you know whatâs in my mindâ you got on your knees moving to the edge on the bed and then sat on your heels. You pulled Roger over by the hem of his now open shirt and your lips met with his âYes, I think you made pretty clear whatâs your intentionâ he mumbled in the kiss. You wasted no time at unbuckling his belt and pulling his jeans down. âDid you lock the door?â you asked as Rogerâs lips left kisses along your collarbone. He just simply nodded as he climbed over you on the bed making you lay your back on the mattress. His hands started to play with your silk robe and his eyes widened once he opened it, revealing that you were only wearing your panties. âYou had it all planned, hadnât you?â A smirk formed on his lips as he started to kiss you down your chest.âI learned that with kids around is always better to get ready quicklyâ you joked as you ran your hand through his hair. âI couldnât agree moreâ Roger looked up at you and hooked his fingers on your knickers pulling them down.âSomeoneâs eager huh?â âBetter get ready quicklyâ he chuckled quoting you.You laughed softly pulling down his own underwear and then he kicked them off away on the floor. âAre we too old for foreplay?â Roger asked as he already got lower between your legs, his head disappearing under the bed sheets. âDonât be ridiculous, we will never get old for that.â You bit your lip as you felt his mouth kissing your inner thigh. âBut, knowing our daughter, she would probably get up and ask to sleep with us in the next hour or so, so itâs better if for tonight we skip that part.ââRightâ Rogerâs head reappeared from the cover and you laughed softly at him cupping his cheeks and bringing him over so you could kiss him.âMaybe this weekend or the next one we can leave the kids at my parentsâ home. So we can have more time for ourselvesâ you wiggled your brows looking up at your husband who was now hovering you, bearing his weight with his arms laid on both sides of your head. Â âSounds like a planâ he smiles and kissed you once again while he lined with you and slowly slide inside you. You had to put your hands on Rogerâs neck and pull him closer to you so that your kiss could muffle your moans. With kids sleeping on the same floor as yours you both had to learn to be quiet during sex, in the beginning, when Elliot was a toddler you really had to fight and bite your lips tightly as you and Roger had never been a quiet couple. But with time you had managed to make fewer noises that you could. The room was filled with heavy breaths as Roger hid his face on the crook of your neck while thrusting into you âGod baby, you feel so goodâ he mumbled against your skin.âPlease Rog, go fasterâ you whined as you pressed your fingertips on his back and as he did as he was told you had to press your mouth against his shoulder to keep quiet.âLove, I-Iâm closeâ you mumbled holding tight on Rogerâs biceps. Holding tightly your hands Roger started to thrust as deep as he could trying to get you to your climax. Thatâs when you heard your bedroom door opening. Roger immediately froze as you heard the sounds of smalls steps on your floor. âDad?â Hazelâs asked with her sleepy voice and even though you could murder Roger for not locking the door you were at least grateful that you had sheets covering your waists. âWhy are you over mommy?ââI-I..â Roger looked at you, panick all over his face. âI had something in my eyes so mommy helped me get it out.â And after saying that he had the brilliant idea of sliding off from you and you had to bite your tongue to avoid any sound.âAnd you had to get over mom to do that?â you couldnât see her but from her tone, you could say that a frown formed on your daughterâs face.
âI was tired and didnât want to moveâ you tried to explain as Roger moved away from you, you quickly covered your chest with the blanket and reached over for your husbandâs underwear which luckily was close to your side of the bed.
âOhâ Hazel said, still not completely convinced. âCan I sleep with you?â The little girl asked moving closer to your bed.âNo!â both you and Roger exclaimed at the unison. She stopped immediately and pouted. âBut-but I had a bad dream.ââSweetheartâ Roger said as he managed to put his underwear under the sheets âCome hereâ he then added owning a frown from you. Your daughter walked closer to his side of the bed and Rog picked her up while he stood up from the mattress. âDid you dream again about those monsters?â Hazel nodded as he laid her head on his shoulder. âYou know that you are safe here, right? Mommy and I will never let anyone hurt you. We will protect you against anythingâ he explained while caressing her back. You sat there watching your husband calming down your daughter as you could feel your heart melting.
After a while, Hazel fell asleep in Rogerâs arms and he walked to her bedroom to put her back to sleep. âI thought you told me you locked the door.â You scolded him once he walked back to bed.âWell, next time I will surely do it.â He chuckled wrapping his arms around you.âYou owe me an orgasmâ You joked laying your head on his chest.âDonât worry, this weekend youâll get as much as you want.â
Dad!Roger being brought to his kids Career Day at school
âTomorrowâs career day at schoolâ your son Elliot says while you are all having dinner together
You nod remembering that he already asked you to go some days ago
âDadâs not working tomorrow, he could come with youâ you suggestÂ
âYes, Iâd love to, weâll have a good timeâRoger never had the chance to do it because of tours or the studio and he would actually love to be part of it
âI donât knowâ Elliot mumbles while playing with his fork and looking down at his own plate âI already asked it to you momâ
âI know, but I get to do it every year. And I donât mind if dad will come tomorrow, it will be funâ
âI-I donât think thatâs a good ideaâÂ
Elliot keeps looking at his plate and you can see that Rogerâs smile drops
âWhy donât you guys go play to the living room while me and dad wash the dishes?â you suggest once dinnerâs over
After that the kids run to the other room you get up and sit on Rogerâs lap
âDo you think heâs embarrassed about me?â He askes, his tone really low and sad
âNo love, it absolutely isnât because of thatâ you try to reassure him as you lay your hands on the sides of his neck âhe loves you and thinks youâre the coolest dad.â
âThen why he doesnât want me there tomorrow?
âIâll try to understand it, okay?â And you kiss your husband tenderly hoping to comfort him
Once youâve tucked your son in you sit on his bed and caressed softly his hairÂ
âSweetheart, whatâs wrong?âÂ
âI-â âItâs that kids always think bad about me being dadâs son.â
âWhat do you mean?â you frown looking down at him
âThey say that I have good notes only because my dad is Roger Taylor and- and they say that their parents told them the same thing.â
You had to hold back the anger that was forming inside you
You knew about those stupid parents talking bad about your son and favouritisms that he may have because of who his father is.
Bullshit, from the first moment you made it clear that no matter who his father is, Elliotâs got to make it in his own way.
âScrew themâ you told him âTheyâre just jealous that their father isnât a rockstar.â
A big smile forms on your sonâs lips âTheyâre jealous that my dad is really coolâ
âExactlyâ you chuckled âIf you are proud about your dad then this is the most important thing. It doesnât matter what other people think.â
âCan you tell dad that Iâm sorry and that I want him to come with me tomorrow?âÂ
You smile lifting your gaze and see Roger laying against the doorframeÂ
âWhy donât you tell him?âÂ
The next day Elliot walks in class holding Rogerâs hand and smiling up at his father.
When itâs his turn he stands up and says proudly. âThis is my father Roger and heâs a drummer, heâs a rockstar.â
Roger canât help but chuckle looking at his son and happily starts to talk about his job.
