ALSO I don’t know if I’ve ever discussed this on here but oh boy let me ramble
I 100% believe Touya’s flames where the color red/orange has a child but didn’t start turning blue until he was at Sekoto’s peak that one night realizing he could make his flames more powerful
specially this moment:
he tells us how his quirk is directly connected to his emotions, we all know what happened, his emotions overtook him and was unable to control his fire
his fire didn’t turn fully blue until after his “death”
which is another reason why no one ever recognized him, they had never seen someone with a blue fire quirk
this all can tie into the theory that this is part of some kind of “phoenix” quirk, his body went through a rebirth which is how he survived but also this was just the next evolution of his flame power
there’s also some evidence that since the first war arc Dabi’s flames are now white (they are drawn slightly different than before) and hotter than ever, and this could be him entering a new rebirth (if his quirk is phoenix related)
there’s also the symbolism of his hair turning fully white and him choosing to wear all white clothes
where he’s at now parallels perfectly to Sekoto’s peak with how his dad is neglecting him once again, his emotions are overtaking him again, and he’s completely over taking himself and everything around him
I’m so glad you’re one of the Dabi supporters who recognize Shoto’s potential impact on him, and how Shoto really wants to help!
He sure does! Shoto is quite literally the ONLY person to get through to Touya and save him, him admitting “he’s basically me” was huge, he saw himself in Dabi, he knows that pain, he knows it’s possible to overcome and survive that pain
this all has been building up since we ever first knew Shoto

Shoto making his own and specific move called “phosphorus” to use on both him and Touya made me realize something
Touya has never worked on any for himself, he’s just been clinging onto and learning his dads moves this whole time, those abilities were only meant for Endeavor, no wonder Touya’s body could never fully handle them, we have no idea what Touya working with his quirk rather than against it would look like
Looking back at everything, when the league of villains got raided and Gran Torino knocked out Dabi out of everybody I was like “oh that’s written because it’s too early in the story for Dabi and Endeavor to meet face to face”
And nowwwww looking back at everything
From a writing standpoint, maybe Dabi and Chisaki never met during the Overhaul arc for a reason
And maybe Lady Nagant bailed out Chisaki to help her for a reason
because Touya and Chisaki were clearly once in the same place and maybe Touya burning it down was how he escaped
maybe Chisaki would’ve recognized sleepyhead if they were to meet in the present
I don’t think Chisaki’s story is over yet and I’m excited to see where it goes after this new detail
Ah so Touya wearing all white now wasn’t because it’s written for him to die, it’s because he intended himself to die
