Rutland, Vermont – [Date] –Disabled Access and Advocacy of the Rutland Area (DAARA) Committee is conducting a comprehensive survey to gather information on disability accessibility issues in the Rutland, VT area.
If you are a person with a disability or are a family member or friend of someone who is, and have an ongoing accessibility issue in the Rutland area– we want to hear from you! Please complete our survey at https://forms.gle/sULPzRC6AVFmZ4DW7 .
Accessibility issues include but are not limited to: poor or lack of sidewalks and curb cuts, inaccessible buildings, refusal to make reasonable accommodations to serve you.
DAARA is a group facilitated by Vermont Center for Independent Living (VCIL) Rutland office and consists of volunteers working towards more accessible communities for people with a disability in the Rutland County Area. It educates the general public about the challenges people living with disabilities face and the actions businesses and others can take to make a more accessible community.

We would like to hear from anyone who has witnessed or experienced such issues firsthand. If you have encountered any obstacles or concerns related to disability accessibility, we encourage you to share the details with us. Perhaps it's an inaccessible entrance, lack of wheelchair ramps, or other challenges that limit the mobility and independence of individuals with disabilities. Your input is crucial in identifying areas that need improvement. To report an issue, please reach out to DAARA at the VCIL Rutland Office by calling (802) 779-9021.
