đŹ Daan x Reader headcanons đ
Daan did not expect to be trapped in the city. He tried to find a way to leave it, but when he saw people who needed help, he simply couldn't stay away. That's when he met you. You were one of the passengers on the train that Daan was on. Then he didn't notice you, too immersed in his own thoughts and memories. You stayed away from him by the train, lost in your own thoughts. You've been deciding what to do now, and now you've met again. You both had time to face the dangers that were in this city, so you invited him to go further together. It seemed like a reasonable decision, and pretty quickly you explored the city together and tried to help your fellow prisoners who were also stuck there
He was well versed in both modern medicine and the occult, and you were ready to help him. You had no knowledge of medicine, but you were well versed in plants. Your life has taught you to make do with improvised means, so you've learned how to make various decoctions from plants and defend yourself. You found plants that could help you, and you accompanied Daan when he wanted to go check on the sick in the slums. You've bumped into other train passengers several times. Pretty quickly, you were joined by two of the youngest of all your new acquaintances. You looked out for Marina and Levi, even though they could both stand up for themselves. You supported his idea, and Daan saw how you smiled gently at them and tried to help them feel safer
Daan could joke around and take care of the others, but you could see that there was clearly something wrong with him. When you asked him how he was feeling, he said he was fine, but you saw that he was lying. At first you tried to keep quiet, but after you ran into the creature that was once his wife, you just couldn't stay away. You saw that it was hard for Daan, and that's why you insisted that he talk about what was weighing on him so much. In a bar in the city, while you were both sitting at the bar, he told you about his past, his family, and his wife. You listened to him, seeing that he had obviously been tormented by all this for a long time. When Daan stopped talking, he was waiting for some kind of reaction from you. He didn't know what exactly he was waiting for, but you appreciated his trust and responded in kind. You told him about your past so that you could be on equal terms, because, in your opinion, it would be unfair if you didn't say anything, after all that he told you
You tried to be more attentive to him. Considering that there were dangers waiting for you everywhere and the time you had to escape was limited, you tried to do as much as possible to get out of this crazy city. You tried to protect him from what could only worsen his condition, and Daan tried to respond in kind. He saw that you, like the others, were having a hard time coping with what was happening. Killing monsters was unusual for you. You tried to help each other, continuing to strive to get out, but it felt like you were only getting deeper into this madness
With every hour you spent in Prehevil, you doubted more and more that you would be able to get out. Because of this, you tried to make sure that if you died, you would not regret anything. At least that they wouldn't have had time to do something. Perhaps the reason was the danger you were in all the time, or maybe something else, but you managed to get attached to each other. Looking at you, Daan realized more and more that maybe spending the last three days of his life next to you, if he hadn't survived, wouldn't have been such a bad idea

Daan x Gn! Reader
Wedding day ! đ
Authors note : I lowkey tried to write this kinda poetic I hope you guys like itđ
Daan was happy. Genuinely happy.
The day was simpleâelegant, quiet, and warm. Just how the two of you wanted it.
It wasnât his first marriage, but this time⊠it felt different.
Because this time, it was you.
And in his heart, you were everything.
His love for you was unwaveringâconstant. And yours for him? It was just as strong. Maybe stronger.
As you stepped into the aisle, a hush fell.
Soft music played. The scent of flowers and summer air drifted through the space.
Your eyes scanned the crowdâyour close friends and family smiling through quiet tears.
And then, just beyond them, you saw them.
Karin. Marina. Levi.
And the rest of the Termina crew.
Survivors. Friends.
People who, like you and Daan, had tried so hard to push the horrors of the Termina Festival into the past.
But today, there was no pain. Only peace. Only love.
In Daanâs mind, you werenât just his new beginning.
You were his ending too.
The full story.
The calm after the storm.
The person who made life feel like something worth holding onto.
He watched you walk toward him, his breath catching in his throat.
You were graceful. Glowing. Beautiful in a way that almost hurt to look at.
(Though, to be fair, he always thought you were drop-dead gorgeousâeven if you had walked down the aisle in pajamas, he wouldâve cried just the same.)
When the two of you said your vows, it felt like the world stilled for a second.
You promised each other forever. And meant it.
The kiss that followed was soft, and a little shaky, and absolutely perfect.
The reception was small. Intimate.
Just your closest people, clinking glasses, soft laughter, warm hugs.
No stress, no chaos.
Just love. So much love.
The kind that heals.
And as the evening faded into night, Daan looked at youâyour hand in his, your smile shining brighter than any candlelightâand he knew:
This time, he got it right.
And heâd never let go.
