dragon age as a series ending on datv really is just like. here's 3 games, hundreds of hours of struggling to save the world and finding hope. then we nuked it lol bye. like what was the point.

revisiting da2 and observing merril and fenris's interactions reinforced my love for davrin and bellara's friendship. it somehow feels so refreshing to have two dalish elves who chose very different paths in life but still respect and treat each other with kindness. while both merrill and fenris are great characters on their own and i found so much love and respect for merrill specifically after replaying the game (she was mistreated not only by her "friends" but also the fandom horribly back then), i still prefer davrin and bellara. there's many things i think veilguard did better than the previous games, but to me personally their friendship is one of the shining examples 💜
