it would change a lot of what I previously established ,but such is the nature of WIPs.

basically rather than the sheep starting out in an idyllic scenario that is then invaded by the demons, the sheep would have lived under their extortion for as long as they can remember.

the plot outline would be:

escape the demons to find help

defeat each demon

defeat final-boss demon

and I think the inciting incident will either be the sheep failing to meet a tithe quota, or a demon behaving cruelly despite being given a 'proper' tithe just because the sheep can't do anything about it.

I'm mainly attracted to this idea because I've always wanted GH to have a monster-fighting aspect, and this gives me opportunity to make monster characters that cover specific domains rather than just having them be generic grunts.

context:

I wanted to make this map for myself to see how a character of the world would travel without portals, as I don't really think they're canon. But then a friend said this map could be useful to other players like him who don't like using portals and/or want to learn more shortcuts, so I'm posting it here.

note that the length of the paths doesn't relate at all to their travel time, and intersecting paths don't actually meet unless marked with an X. each path only represents two areas connecting.

Map Key:

Green line = two-way path (one way might only be possible under certain conditions, like after completing a challenge or getting help from another player)

Red line = one-way path.

X = distinct area of the world of Sky

Pink X = area that is not canon and/or doesn't inhabit literal physical space.

Yellow Line = two-way path that requires a portal.

when a friend found out I was drawing skykids, she suggested her character and I just had to accept.

I planned to post this one in a batch of other skykids like last time, but rendering this was so complicated that I wasn't sure I could replicate it consistently for the others 😭

this is a big departure from my usual style, but I wanted to make it look as close to the in-game style as I could. for transparency's sake, I did trace over the original Phantom Menace poster to get the placement right.
