I know this is several weeks late, but I was tragically too busy to do anything for DA Poly Week, and I wanted to at least make a post about the poly ships I have among my OCs, because they don’t get a lot of attention from me but I love them a lot.
(Romance tiles for Halahn (left), Cathaire (center), and Iron Bull. Halahn and Cathaire’s tiles were commissioned from @sunshinemage.)
Halahn x Cathaire x Iron Bull
This one’s the cutest and most important of my poly ships. In the AU where my OC Halahn Lavellan is the Inquisitor, he meets and swiftly falls in love with @thefluffynug’s Orlesian city elf mage Cathaire Duran. They carry on the most fluffy mush-tastic courtship you can imagine, and are just...head over heels in love and utterly devoted to one another, so blessed to have found true love so late in their lives.
At some point in their relationship (not sure exactly when) Halahn expresses some curiosity about Iron Bull -- namely, about his size. Halahn is adventurous and loves trying new things and pushing his limitations, so it was only natural that the couple of times Bull flirted with him casually were enough to pique his interest. With Cathaire’s blessing, Halahn begins a sexual relationship with Bull -- with Cathaire’s involvement, as well.
But by the time Trespasser rolls around, Halahn and Cathaire’s relationship with Bull is about more than just sex. Bull has been a steadying presence in their lives, a comfort and support that’s always there. When Halahn’s health deteriorates due to the Anchor, Bull’s the one who helps Cathaire get through the long nights. What Bull has with Halahn and Cathaire isn’t romantic per se, but it’s more than just friendship, too.
Ihsaan x Leliana x Iron Bull
In Ihsaan Adaar’s Inquisitor AU, she romances a hardened Leliana...aaand they are terrifying and wreak havoc all over Thedas and yeah. Scary stuff. Ihsaan is homoromantic bisexual, meaning she’s only attracted to women romantically but she’ll sleep with just about anybody and sort of has a kink for sexually dominating men in particular.
So while she’s romantically involved with Leliana, she also initiates a BDSM relationship with Iron Bull. For the most part, that relationship stays between Ihsaan and Bull, but later on Leliana occasionally participates as well, at Ihsaan’s suggestion.
Ihsaan x Iron Bull x Shokrakar
This is Ihsaan’s poly ship in actual Dirvhenan canon, where Thalon Lavellan is Inquisitor and Ihsaan’s just a Vashoth merc who works for the Inquisition. She and Shokrakar (leader of the Valo-Kas merc company) had an off-and-on relationship long before the Inquisition, and continue it once they’re both on the Inquisition’s payroll. At some point, Bull gets involved too -- because I think he’d have a hard time saying no to two Vashoth women who can go toe to toe with him in a brawl and match him drink for drink.
Allegria x Morrigan x Leliana
This one I’m still considering and on the fence about. It’s in Dirvhenan canon now that Allegria Hawke and Morrigan hook up while they’re both at Skyhold, mostly just for the sex and some good company. I’ve contemplated bringing Leliana into that too, because I think Morrigan/Leliana makes a lot of sense and even if they aren’t lovers I definitely see them as good friends. Buuut on the other hand, Leliana seems to detached and distant in DA:I that I kind of wonder if she’d let herself get involved in something like that.
But let’s just say that the image of these three ladies together is a beautiful one, indeed. ;)

My submission to @dapolyweek for Day 3 of Dragon Age Poly Week! (Extremely late, I know lol)
Day 3 is: Now we see blood! Arguments, jealousy, pet peeves, hurt and comfort
Summary: . After meeting Hawke’s Warden contact Stroud, Cullen discovers that Hawke and Anders are still together, having thought Hawke had left him when he left Kirkwall. Hawke and Cullen fight about it, and Hawke storms off. Cullen and Nora go looking for Hawke when he doesn’t return. Angsty goodness.
Pairing: Cullen Rutherford x Nora Trevelyan x Garrett Hawke
Wordcount: 2,251
Rating: Mature for language and violence.
The ride back to their camp was quiet and tense.
How could he be so stupid as to stay with someone like that?
The realization that Hawke was still with the mage Anders had left Cullen in such a foul mood that he chose to ride ahead, not wanting to speak to Garrett. When he and Nora had pressed Cullen as to what was wrong, he simply deflected, muttering about wanting to get back to Camp.
Once they set up tents and got the fire going, Cullen took it upon himself to take some time to inspect his equipment, avoiding further interaction with the group.
The silence that Cullen was enjoying was interrupted by Garrett’s booming laughter filling the air along with the sweet tone of Nora’s as they shared a joke over the fire. “Oh now that one I’ll HAVE to tell to Anders, he’ll just love it!”
Cullen fumed, and unable to hold in his frustrations towards the man any longer, he spoke up.
“Maker Garrett, are you seriously still with that… Abomination?!”
Nora shot him a warning glance and shook her head. “Cullen…”
“No, no.” Garrett snapped as he drops his bowl to the ground, eyes boring into Cullen. “I want to hear this.”
Cullen glares at him, barely able to contain the anger bubbling up in his chest. “All this time, here I am thinking that you’d finally come to your senses and left him, after what he did.”
“Cullen, stop,” Nora pleaded, but he wasn’t done.
Cullen stood and shook his head, spitting his next statement out in disgust. “When in reality, you’re still with him! I understand not being able to kill the man, Maker knows I wouldn’t be able to kill someone I loved, but… Staying with him? Supporting him? You’re no better than he is!”
Garret leapt up then and got within inches of Cullen. “You’re right!” He spat back, eyes wide with fury. “I’m not! And neither are you! You’re not exactly the poster boy for morality, are you?”
Cullen Scoffed, “What are you even talking about?”
“Are you KIDDING me, Cullen?! Have you forgotten how cruel you were to mages, how cruel you were to me while you were in Kirkwall?”
Cullen felt his balled his fists at his side, nails biting into the palm o f his hand as he tried to contain his anger. “That is not even remotely on the same scale, and you know it.”
“Oh really? ‘Mages aren’t people like you or I, they can’t be trusted’, or do you not remember saying that?”
Cullen winced at hearing the words. He had indeed spoken them, and he wasn’t proud of it. He was a younger and more naïve man then, but he was no murderer.
“Yes, I said those words and I’m not proud of them! We all make mistakes and learn from them. I-“
But he was cut off when Garret scoffed. “Oh so your mistakes are easily dismissed while others aren’t?” He barked, shaking his head as he added; “You’re a fucking hypocrite.”
“MY mistakes, didn’t involve the killing of innocents!” He snapped back, “Harsh words and hurt feelings are a lot easier to fix than the loss of life.”
Garrett roared then, clearly losing his temper at this point. “There are fates worse than death, Cullen, and you know it.”
Cullen narrowed his eyes at Garret, who was now inches from his face.
What is he going on about now?
“What about Karl, Cullen? Hmm? What about all of the other mages who were made tranquil as punishment? Did you forget about them, or are their lives just not worth mentioning? Are they still not people to you?”
Cullen could feel the heat rising in his cheeks and struggled to keep his composure. “I never made anyone tranquil and you know that, Garrett. That was Meredith’s doing and I disagreed with it.“
“You let it happen, Cullen!” He roared, grabbing Cullen by the shoulders and shoving him down onto the ground.
Nora yelled in protest from the campfire, but neither paid her any mind, too caught up in their feud.
Cullen felt his back meet the soil with a hard thud and the wind was knocked briefly from his lungs. Scrambling back up he prowled back towards Garrett, Amber eyes fuming and his hands balled into fists.
“And what did you expect me to do?! She was my superior, and –“
“Have a damn backbone and stand up for what you believe in, for one thing.” Garrett shook his head and curled his lips up at him in disgust. “Anders made a bad choice, I don’t deny that. But he made a choice. He didn’t just stand back waiting for someone else to fix the problem. The man may be a lot of things, but at least he’s not a coward.”
That was it, Cullen couldn’t hold back any longer and before he knew it, he lunged at him. Catching him off guard, he knocked him square in the jaw, and sent him reeling backwards.
“What the fuck!” Nora came running over from her seat at the fire, but Cullen didn’t care. He dove on top of the man, throwing punches blindly in hopes that they would connect.
“A coward?! Do you know how much time I spent in the streets, looking for survivors and defending innocents while the city was on fire? On fire, because your idiot of a possessed-mage boyfriend blew up the Chantry? With women and children inside?! He-Umph!”
Cullen was cut off by the abrupt force of a forearm colliding with his abdomen, causing him to lose focus for a split second but that’s all it took. Garrett had him flipped back over, kneeling over him and panting, glaring back at him.
Cullen felt himself being lurched up as Garrett yanked the collar of his shirt, and then he felt a fist collide with his face. Cullen tasted the blood in his mouth immediately, and cursed the man for his quick movements. Garret sneered, but it was too soon; Cullen twisted and thrust a knee up into his back, causing him to lurch and fall sideways. Cullen took this moment to jump up and put Garrett into choke-hold, who was still on his knees.
He could see that Garrett was winding up to take another shot at him and prepared to take the blow but they were both halted when the ground caught fire in front of them, and Nora came into view, screaming.
“ENOUGH! How old are you two?! You’re acting like fucking CHILDREN.” She then threw a hand up, “No, actually, that’s giving you too much credit. Even children don’t behave like this. What is wrong with you two?!”
Cullen started to protest but she didn’t give him the chance. “Shut up, Cullen! You’re the one who started this whole thing, just… Shut up.”
Doesn’t she understand? Maker what did I just get myself into.
Garrett sniggered but Nora turned on him as well. “And you! What do you think you’re doing? Throwing punches and calling him a coward? After what he did for you in Kirkwall, letting you escape the city before people took notice? Shame on you.”
Nora Crossed her arms and accosted them. “You need to apologize. Both of you.”
Cullen sighed, wiping the blood from his mouth and looked at Garrett, who was standing from the dirt, blood dripping from his nose.
Cullen walked forward and offered Garrett a hand up, who just swept it away with a snarl and stood up himself.
“Garrett, I-“
He was silenced by a wave of his hand as Garrett stormed away.
Cullen turned to Nora and he winced when he saw the disappointment in her eyes, as she turned and walked back towards the campfire and their tent.
Fuck.
“Andraste’s ass, Cullen, stop being such a stubborn fool and let me take a look.”
Cullen sat stoking the flames of their campsite as Nora continued to pester him, insisting that he let her tend to his wounds.
I don’t deserve her kindness, I brought this on myself.
“I’m fine, Nora. It’s just a few bruises.”
Cullen heard her get up and walk over to him as she huffed. “I swear to the Maker Cullen, I love you but you are insufferable sometimes.” She yanked his hand over into her lap to get a closer look. “Your knuckles are bleeding and bruised. Please let me heal them. If nothing else, to make sure that if we get caught off guard, you’re in proper condition to fight.”
“Hmph. Fine.” He relaxed his hand into hers and watched as she rubbed a salve into his knuckles, massaging it and working it in, as she cast something under her breath. The spell was minor, he knew; she had used it many times before, but magic still made him uncomfortable, even with her. He tensed slightly and she obviously noticed, caressing his knuckles again and placing a soft kiss stop them when she finished.
“Thank you, Cullen. I know you’d rather traditional healing methods but, we both know I’m not very proficient with those.”
He chuckled, remembering the last time she tried to bandage herself up, actually making the wound worse.
He wrapped his knuckles while she put her herbs and tonics back into her satchel, and when she sat back up he took her cheek in his hand.
“I’m sorry, love. For my behaviour. It was… embarrassing. I don’t know what came over me.”
She placed her own hand atop his on her cheek, leaning into his touch. “I know you’re sorry, Cullen, but it isn’t me you need to apologize to.” She sighed and closed her eyes, enjoying the moment of quiet.
“Nora, I-.” He stopped and reconsidered, “Never mind.”
“Cullen, what is it?”
“I just- you defended Anders’ actions, as if you thought what he did was justified. I just… I don’t understand how you can agree with what he did, and be alright with it.”
Confusion washed over her face as she replied, cocking her head to the side. “I don’t agree with what he did, Cullen, I think what happened was awful. I wasn’t defending Anders, I was defending Hawke. Hawke didn’t make the decision, Anders did. You were treating him as if he were the one who blew up the Chantry.”
“But he stood by him all this time! He supported him! How can he be with someone who did that?”
“Cullen, he doesn’t agree with Anders’ decision, but he loves him. Love makes us do strange things. You’re with me, supporting me, and how many lives have I taken?” She looked down at her hands as if they were toxic. “My hands aren’t clean, Cullen. By all rights, I’m an apostate, who all but decimated the Templar order.”
Scoffing, Cullen spat his response back. “That’s not even remotely the same thing. The organization was corrupt, killing innocents and capturing people against their will, forcing them to take red lyrium.”
Nora nodded. “And that’s how Anders sees the chantry. Forcing mages into circles where they’re abused, and threatening them with making them tranquil if they step out of line. Like it or not, Cullen, mages are oppressed in most circles. I was lucky enough that the Ostwick Circle was a kinder place to be. Most are not so lucky.”
“I… Never thought of it that way, I guess.”
“Mmm. Was what he did right? No, I don’t think so, and neither does Hawke, but he loves him.”
Cullen sighed.
“And,” she added, “If you’re going to continue to be his friend, you need to understand that. You’ve been friends far too long to let this get between you.”
He nodded, and brought his face in to hers to place a warm kiss on her lips, smiling as she returned it.
“Maker, what would I do without you?”
Nora chuckled and leaned back, stoking the embers of their fire again. “Hawke’s been gone a while, should we go look for him?”
“I think so. He’s probably fine, but let’s take our gear, just in case.”
Cullen knew something was wrong when they had been walking for almost an hour with no sign of Garrett.
Why would he wander off so far, what was he thinking?
Then as realization hit him, he felt a pang of guilt.
He left in a huff because of you, and how you treated him. If anything happens to him, it’s your fault.
“Maker he better be alive when we find him.” He muttered, huffing as they trudged over the crest of a hill.
Cullen’s thoughts were cut short when the screech of a demon broke the silence, and he heard Nora gasp next to him, quickening her pace towards the sound.
Cullen ran and looked down into the valley below and his heart nearly stopped in his chest at the sight below him.
Maker, no.
“GARRETT! Hold on!” Nora cried out and sprinted down the hill towards the horde of demons surrounding Garrett, who was backed into a corner against a large stone, slumped over and very obviously injuired. Cullen could see the barrier that Hawke had cast around himself, barely keeping hold and flickering with every strike against it.
Cullen roared as he drew his sword and shield, clanging them together and making as much noise as he could to draw them away from Hawke – and Nora- as he charged towards them.
You better not die, you bastard.

There is a sequel! I had started it for DA Poly Week, but then got side tracked with a move and a bit of an injury, haha. But don’t fret!! The sequel is coming soon ;)

Previous chapter
The ruins of what remained of Haven’s chantry were cold as Grace stalked back and forth, pulling the fur around her neck closer. He was late.
“Where is he,” Barris complained, shivering. Grace shook her head, rolling her eyes.
“I warned you it might take a little while to find us,” she laughed, snapping her fingers. Instantly a fire glyph appeared on the ground, which Barris stood on gratefully, soaking up the warmth. “At least I was the smart one and wore something warmer than silverite armor.”
Barris looked her up and down, eyeing the thin leather coat she was wearing. The warmest thing on it was the fur lining on the hood and wrists. “Not much warmer. How can you stand it out here?”
Grace rolled her eyes and pulled down a section of her shirt, displaying the scar she had received a few years previously, slightly glowing in the darkness. “Not the best way to stay warm, but I’ll take it.”
The snow crunched loudly behind her, and she turned with a smirk as Cullen emerged out of the darkness, hand on the phylactery. The smirk quickly changed into a grin as he perked up, crunching louder over the snow and almost swallowing her in a hug, their armor clanking together loudly.
“Maker, I missed you,” he sighed, releasing her and moving to Barris, hugging him just as tightly as their armor would allow. He turned back to Grace, brushing a stray strand of hair from her eyes. “You grew your hair out.”
“Just a little.”
“I like it.”
Barris laughed. “I told you he would. You worry too much, Grace.”
She giggled and pressed a kiss to Barris’ cheek, before standing on her tip toes and pressing one to Cullen’s. “Is the Inquisitor far behind?” she asked, settling back down and starting to move towards a snow covered staircase.
“She should be here any-“
The almost imperceptible shuffle of snow heralded Fenara Lavellan’s approach, the elf practically materializing out of the darkness.
“Lady Trevelyan, Lord Barris. It’s good to see you again,” the elf said, sticking out her remaining hand, which Grace clasped firmly.
“Its good to see you again as well, Inquisitor. Her Grace is waiting for us below, along with Seeker Pentaghast. Are you sure you want to go through with this?” Grace asked, looking the elf up and down. Fenara nodded.
“You once told me that tracking could be done with anything a person was around long enough, even a lover,” Fenara said bitterly, her tattoo-less face curling into a heartbroken frown. “I have to try.”
“Of course.” Grace turned and started towards the stairway again.
When they made it into the basement, Leliana was chatting away happily with a little girl who was armed with a complex bow. Grace’s hand shot to her staff, but Fenara placed a hand on her shoulder.
“It’s alright Hunter. You remember Lily, my niece?”
“Of course,” Grace laughed, easing her hold on the staff. “She’s gotten good if she got past me.”
“Commander Cullen distracted you for me,” the girl giggled, looking up from the conversation she was having with the Divine. “I didn’t want to ruin your hugs.”
“Well this seems to be everyone,” Cassandra muttered. “If you think we’re ready, Inquisitor?”
“We are. Lady Hunter?”
“Of course. Cullen, Barris?”
Barris looped the phylactery off of his neck, holding it in his hand and letting it spin gently, the glass glowing blue as it trained on her position. “We have you. As always.”
She tried to ignore the comforting squeeze Cullen gave Barris’ hand as she turned towards Fenara, placing her hands on either side of her face.
“Lady Hunter,” Cullen began. “You are being tasked with hunting down the apostate known to us as Solas. He is to be brought back ideally alive so he may answer for his crimes. Do you accept this as your mission?”
“I do.”
“Do you accept to track him until he is located and brought back to justice?” Barris asked, placing his hand on Grace’s shoulder.
“I do.”
“And will you endeavor to come back to us when your mission is over?”
“I will.”
“May the maker have mercy on your quarry, my Lady,” Cullen whispered, mimicking Barris’ action.
Grace shut her eyes, feeling the unique signature of old magic that ran over the Inquisitor’s skin. It was strong, almost a heady dissonance that pulled her in and down, focusing to a single point. When her eyes opened, they were bright, narrowing as she smiled.
“I have him.” Releasing Fenara’s face, she gripped the hands on her shoulders. “Track me down, Handlers?”
“Forever and always, my Lady,” Cullen said, pressing his lips into her temple. “Together, forever and always.”

Part Fifteen of Stained, written for @dapolyweek (and released hella late I am so sorry.)
A F!Mage Trevelyan/Barris/Cullenfic
Start at the beginning
Previous chapter
Grace made her way back to the tower, boxes tucked safely under her arm. It had started to snow again, thick wet flakes pelting against her as she skidded over the stones, the temperature dropping rapidly. The wind howled loudly as she crept into her office, shivering in the cold. Her fire had died down to embers, the kettle having gone cold. Dripping over the floor, she quickly shut the boxes in her desk, climbing up the ladder.
The wind howled louder as she stripped out of her damp clothing. Someone had hung a heather grey wool dress next to her wardrobe; upon further investigation, she found a note pinned to it from the Ambassador.
Because not everyday should be spent in uniform. Happy Saturnailia, Lady Trevelyan.
Grace smiled, swinging the dress down from its hanger. It had been too long since she wore a dress, and been allowed to feel as anything other than a soldier. In fact, thinking back on it she hadn’t worn a dress that wasn’t a disguise since-
She flinched, crumpling the neckline of the dress in her hands. She hadn’t worn a dress that was hers since she had pledged herself to Marc, never expecting to be in that situation ever again. Yet here she was.
A loud banging on her door stirred her out of her thoughts.
“Just a second!” she yelled, throwing the dress over her head, lacing up the back with a few sharp pulls. It fit just right. Grabbing a hold of the ladder, she swung down, racing to her door and turning the latch.
The wind blew her backwards with incredible force as two snow covered forms burst through her door, helping her slam it shut against the driving snow. Behind the multiple layers he had on Barris cursed.
“Maker’s breath! I’ve never seen the weather this bad up here!”
“Grace, good I was hoping you had gotten back,” Cullen said breathlessly, pulling down his own scarf, shaking out his curls. “This storm’s just expected to get worse, so everyone is to remain indoors until it passes.” As if to reinforce what he was saying, the windows rattled in their panes as the wind whistled around the tower.
“Well there goes Saturnalia,” Grace sighed, trying to hide her displeasure with a laugh.
“Hey now, who said anything about that?” Barris laughed, shifting his cloak to reveal a box full of food, and a small wrapped box tied with a red ribbon. “We can have our own Saturnalia right here, together.” He paused looking her up and down. “You look pretty.”
Grace grinned, taking the box and setting it on her desk, letting the men strip their outwear and get comfortable. Stoking the fire again with a wave of her hand, she walked over to her cabinet and pulled out the decanter they had emptied a few weeks previously, now refilled with an amber liquid.
“I think that sounds like a wonderful idea.”
A few hours later found them all in a pile on Grace’s office floor in front of the fireplace, the decanter surprisingly full as they talked and laughed, recounting funny anecdotes and retelling stories they had heard before, just enjoying the sound of each other’s voices and reveling in the company. The sky had grown darker and darker as the day had passed without any let up from the storm, until finally it was agreed that it was most likely nighttime.
Grace glanced back at her desk thoughtfully. It wasn’t against tradition to open presents on Saturnalia night, but she had never really celebrated Saturnalia outside the Chantry. The closes she ever came to celebrating Saturnalia was with Marc, and they’d missed the accurate date by a week.
Cullen caught her checking, turning her face back towards him and Barris, who had picked up the small box. “We got you a present.”
“We?” Grace asked, raising her eyebrow.
“We,” Barris laughed, scooting closer, handing her the box. “I suggested it, Cullen roped Dagna into it.” He handed her the little box, which she carefully unlaced the ribbon from, lifting the top off.
Laying in the same white satin used in her present was a small teardrop shaped pendant, with a small flower entrapped in the crystal.
“Andraste’s Grace,” Grace chuckled, lifting the necklace gently. Cullen took it from her, sweeping her hair back and draping the chain around her neck. “It’s beautiful.” She paused looking back at the desk. “I have something for both of you too. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to do it, but thanks to Madame de Fer I was able to get it to work.”
She unwound herself from between the two men, reaching up and opening the drawer, pulling the two small boxes out and passing one to each. “I know that its not very conventional… in fact I don’t know if anything like this has ever been done before. I love both of you, so very dearly I can’t stand it,” she continued lowering her head. “I know my phylactery has been a bit of an issue lately but I can’t give it to only one of you… So I’ll give it to both of you.”
Barris slid his box open first, his eyes growing wide as he watched Cullen flip the top on his back, revealing both phylacteries glowing happily in their silk.
“How did you manage this?” Cullen asked, covering his mouth, trying to disguise his shock.
“Dagna recreated the enchantments on the vial. Madame de Fer knew the spell to seal and activate them. My old phylactery has been placed in the Inquisition vault as a backup,” Grace explained, kneeling in front of them. “Neither are you are obligated to-“ She was cut off as both men squeezed her between them in a massive hug, toppling backwards onto the floor with a surprised squeak, and then a peal of laughter. “I guess you like them?”
Barris smiled down at her, pulling Cullen a little closer to slip the phylactery over his head. “They’re perfect.”
“Happy Saturnalia, Grace,” Cullen hummed leaning down and kissing her forehead. Barris did the same,

I really need to write more with these three. In the meantime, resharing this for polyship week <3
