New fanart I decided I needed to do for Jander Sunstar.

I realized as I was rereading the books and short stories that I haven’t really seen any art, official or otherwise, that fully captures his description as it is in the actual book text so I just really wanted to try. The biggest gripe I have is how his skin tone is typically shown...or rather just, you know, completely ignored.

In the books he’s described as having narrow angular features that could be sharp but are softened by a look of quiet sorrow. His skin is bronze with a golden sheen to it. His eyes are silver, not grey, but metallic in the way only elves have. His hair is pale, looking silver under moonlight, but like spun gold in direct light.

I have a love hate relationship with metallic descriptors when it comes to things like skin, eyes, and hair. So pretty but also so hard to make look natural and still organic. I hope I did it justice.
