Habitat- Pacific Ocean

Size (Weight/Length)- 25 cm

Diet- Planktons; Other jellyfish

Cool Facts- The crystal jellyfish lives up to its name. Not only is the jelly nearly transparent, but it glows when disturbed. These colors range from bright orange to neon green. They live in large groups in warmer, shallow water where plankton are plentiful. When there isn’t enough food to go around, they won’t hesitate to cannibalize each other. Using the proteins that cause them to glow, scientists have been able to create a range of genetically engineered animals such as mice and pigs that also glow.
