yeonjun’s going to be honest. he doesn’t know you that well.

but! that doesn’t mean that he can’t learn.

what he knows so far:

you do not do well when you study with music. in your countless study sessions, he’s looked up to catch you pretending you’re an idol and making all of those cute facial expressions and hand motions. of course you’re caught red-handed, you do it so often that it’s not hard to notice when a good song comes on. your playlist is very nice, yeonjun gives you that.

he also knows you like sour patch watermelon better than the other flavors because they have a cute shape and nice colors. which, he has to disagree with, because sour patch kids are ultimately the best, but if buying two boxes of candy makes your eyes light up, he’ll overspend.

he also knows that you know that he doesn’t sleep. and that you’ve called him out on his nowhere near okay sleep schedule for a while now, but it’s embarrassing how fast he falls asleep on call with you. it’s your voice! yeonjun’s grasping at straws to defend himself, but it’s half true anyways.

see, the issue is, the boy’s kind of stumped after that. why is he even thinking about this right now? he should be sleeping. it’s…2:17 am.

you: “my mcdonald’s fries are soggy help” he stifles a laugh, grinning at the screen before texting you back.

yjun: “y r u eating mcdonalds at 2 am i…”

you: “we literally had takeout at 5 a week ago stfu titan” your retorts are cute. they don’t deter the boy, but the banter is always enjoyable.

yjun: “u missed the point <3 what i’m saying is u should be SLEEPING”

you: “WHY ARE YOU TALKING”

you: “YOUR SLEEP SCHEDULE IS MORE MESSED UP THAN THE CREAM TO COOKIE RATIO IN DOUBLE STUFFED OREOS”

yjun: “ur not wrong but i don’t see u passing out before me…suddenly ur a saint :||”

you: “LMFAO true..anyways ur blocked please sleep and never wake up”

yjun: “and here i was gonna serenade u after we finished this project…embarrassing ig”

yjun: “also not u telling me to sleep we JUST talked about this”

you (replied to yjun): “omg u singing…do it now before i strangle u”

yjun: “come over first” he types it as a joke, and it really doesn’t mean much until you’re banging at his door and he’s scrambling out of bed to let you in.

“does this mean you’re going to strangle me??” he greets, smile playing on his face.

“good morning to you too, mr yeonjun.”

“hm, it’s late, huh?”

“want me to stay over?” you grin up at him, and even if it’s in the dark, the boy looking down at you can tell. he just recognizes the glint in your eye when you smile.

“you’re the one who drove your broke can’t-pay-for-gas car here.” he says pointedly. yeonjun isn’t wrong, but he also most definitely is.

“wow, i can’t even see my favorite boy?” you say without much thinking. he’s stunned, freezing up for a second, and then he’s smiling that lopsided grin that looks so good on his face. the moonlight lights up some parts of his face, but it’s glow doesn’t illuminate all of the sparkles in his eye (when he’s looking at you.)

“no, no you can’t.” you purse your lips in a pout and stalk off to his room. yeonjun trails behind, pretending to hate you, oh so much.
