Psych!: How gullible are you? Have you ever been pranked or playfully fooled?

“Eheheh...” Luigi crossed his arms, rocking back on his heels and glancing away. “I’ve...been called gullible, but I’d like to think I have common sense!”

This is the guy who thought he won a mansion in a contest he didn’t enter and hardly questioned it.

“But...I do get pranked a lot. Mostly by Mario.” Luigi couldn’t help but giggle, then let out a sigh, “He gets me every April Fool’s, I swear. I’m not gonna fall for it next year, though, mark my words!...But eh, I remember last year he got me to believe he would kick me out of the house if I didn’t start paying rent...He’s switched my shoes, put cream in my hat, swapped out my clothes, he once did the ‘bucket of water over the door’ thing...” Luigi cleared his throat, realizing he wasn’t exactly helping his case, “B-but I’ll get him back! One of these days, Luigi's gonna come out on top in the pranking!”

He wasn’t even going to mention how often Daisy managed to pull ones over on him.

“I’m...” Luigi paused, his gaze suddenly directed at his feet, ”I guess...I’m not ‘strong’ or ‘manly’ enough. I’ve got weird interests. I’m not really what people would call ‘hero’ material or what people would expect from me...I trip on things all the time, I get nervous...I’m scared of a lot of things. And I really, really wish I wasn’t. I wish I didn’t just...you know...freeze all the time. I’m too quiet. Too...worried...you know? I’m not really...strong...I-I guess I’m insecure about a few things...I kind of don’t want to talk about this anymore. I like to stay happy and positive!...heh...”

☢ Personality Flaw(s)

The green-clad plumber awkwardly rubbed at his arm, chuckling nervously and staring off to the side.

“I-I guess I hesitate too much...” he mumbled after a few seconds of thought, “To jump into things, to do things, to talk to people...I worry a lot, I wish I didn’t...After all, it’s not very good when you go up to face a bad guy and you just think of all the awful things they might be able to do to you and get...frozen...”

He sighed, rocking back on his heels and stuffing his hands in his pockets. “I-I’m getting better, though! I’m trying to, at least...I’ve faced down a lot of pretty nasty stuff in the past and hey, I’m still here. It’s just force of habit, I suppose...”

◉ Dream(s)

This one seemed to stump Luigi for a little while. “Dreams...? I’m guessing you mean the ‘this is what I want to do with my life’ kind of dreams and not the--” Luigi made an exaggerated snoring noise--”kind of dreams, because oh boy I could talk a lot about the second kind, I have some really weird dreams sometimes. But, huh...”

He trailed off, standing there in silent thought for several seconds before looking up, bare honesty in his eyes. “I’m not really sure. I know when I was a kid I used to dream about making something of myself...becoming something to be proud of...And maybe finding where I actually belonged. Being worthwhile, actually being able to help my bro...But I’m there now. So right now, I don’t know.”

Well, he did know. He dreamed of becoming someone he himself could be proud of. Of being a confident, true hero.

¡ Pet Peeves

“People just ignoring others for no reason,” Luigi replied immediately, “It’s worse than getting told you did something wrong, believe me...You just imagine all the reasons they aren’t talking to you and it becomes this huge deal in your head...At least it does for me.”
