Cyanoprint Workshop (28.11.22)
The idea of scanning shadows had alot of overlaps with the direction my project is currently taking which is why I signed up for the blueprint workshop.
I leant about the technique or cyanoprinting and it's origins. Which involves exposing a page soaked in a cyanide solution to UV light. You could use the sun but we used a UV light machine instead.
Most useful of all the things I learnt in the workshop was how to print on transparent paper (acetate). Which I didn't know was possible before!
Here is my final result. The image I use was too opaque and didn't come through well enough, but my drawing a a swarm of people walking did and I'm very happy with it! The blue really pops and the masking tape showing through adds an edgy/experimentive element to it.
