most of the time, sunwoo cannot stand to be locked up inside the castle. thereâs something about the large stone walls that feel so restricting and threatening. heâd rather let his mind wander while experiencing the vast majority of the kingdoms, even wandering in the gardens where his allergies start to get the better of him. but when sunwoo has his book, or his journal, he feels the most free, especially when the weather is nice.Â
today is one of those days, where itâs not too hot and not too cold. he sneaks his way through the kingdoms to see if he can find sunhwa but after a half an hour of him trying to find her, unanswered messages, sunwoo decides just to settle down in the gardens and finish his book under the shade. the sun tends to hurt his eyes when it reflects on the white pages, so the area he finds is quite covered by trees, almost dark. but enough light sheds through the trees and towering plants that he can still feel the warmth of the summer sun.Â
for a moment when he looks up, he sees a flowing white dress and plays it off as over imagination. but the he hears the soft sound of grass being stepped on and another peak of the white dress, a woman standing alone a few feet away. for a moment he wonders if heâs seeing her or heâs fallen asleep under a tree like alice. but she looks far too real, unlike like the weak vagueness of a dream. sunwoo immediately recognizes her, she must be the lady in white.Â
âshould you be out wandering the grounds?â he wonders, looking for his bookmark. âi thought you were sick. isnât that why people think youâre a ghost? your dress really helps the illusion though, huh.âÂ
