Who do you think will win at the Scribe Awards this year?
Hooklight feels like a shoe-in for audio.
Shutter Speed seems like an obvious winner for short story.
Puzzling over novels and comics though. What do you think?

Heya!
So I have a friend who has been reading the VNAs. They haven't really been interested in Chris as a character, but they're obsessed with Roz.
So they're very exited about the announcement of Springs Eternal, but they haven't read any of the Cwej series thusfar. I have been reading and enjoying Cwej, but I'm a bit behind in the series (just finished The Miadas Touch), and obviously haven't read Springs Eternal on account of it not having come out yet.
So my question is such: Will Springs Eternal be a good jumping-on point? Or are there other specific books my friend should read first? They have a general understanding of what the series is since I've infodumped about it a couple times so they have, like. Loose context. I can explain what Chris, Larles, and Kwol's general deals are, that sort of thing.
Hello! This is a great question. I would personally say that as long as your friend reads Lungbarrow by Loomlight, including the summary of Cwej: The Series major events at the beginning of the novel, they will have all the information they need to read Springs Eternal. So no, Springs Eternal isn't the best jumping-on point, but Lungbarrow by Loomlight probably would be.
We just wrapped filming on Cwej and The Cryptids!
Finally got to read Lungbarrow by Loomlight. I've been beating the Drum for Cwej for a long time now and it's great to see everyone so excited about it. This is it. This is our Virgin New Adventures, our Eighth Doctor Adventures. This is where the future of Doctor Who is being crafted. It's a secret wilderness era that snuck up on us.
The way Tomoko M Banks reframes the other, and all of the Marc Platt lore into the modern era is frankly incredible. With this book, the parts of Doctor Who that have all the creative freedoms are catapulted into the future.
You get so much with this novel. Its jam packed in a good way. There's even a bonus short story after the book by Wylder, and its fucking great. Lungbarrow by Loomlight isn't my favorite part of Cwej, but it's maybe the most essential part. People will be talking about this book years from now. Read it.
Welcome to the wilderness. It's nice here, isn't it?
The mirror tells no lies... Harry Gibson, the model for the mysterious Mirror-servant has put together a short webcast celebrating Cwej: Lungbarrow by Loomlight!

Cwej and The Cryptids is Coming Soon!
Now that Lungbarrow By Loomlight is out, I can finally share our trailer for Cwej and The Cryptids, our short mockumentary series by Arcbeatle Press!!! We're so excited to share this with you!
Hm, can't say I cared for Bright White Crack. It was rushed and oddly paced. I also don't care for alternate realities, so the 100,000 Dawns thing doesn't really interest me. I did like the gravity-shifting chaos matter meteor though, that was a cool concept.
Please read Tomoko Maynard Banks’ book if you’re a fan of Doctor Who (especially the VNAs, and ESPECIALLY if you’re a fan of Lungbarrow and looms). She’s a very dear friend of mine and I have seen her go through re-draft after re-draft to get this just right since 2019! So many elements were considered, some were cut, but ultimately the book is absolutely phenomenal in its final form.
I promise you there are a LOT of revelations to come for all levels of fans.
Also there’s a character in it based on my likeness featured on the cover (the one on the right in regards to the two figures in the foreground of Cover B); the villain of the book itself. Who? You’ll just have to read the book to find out ;)
