in the hospital the team i was working with asked what i was into the first time we met and i said i was into literary analysis, esp gothic literature, and they let me talk abt wuthering heights thru the lens of lacans mirror stage which was so so awesome and i may have gotten a bit overexcited w it, cuz it is so rare for me to be able to have conversations w ppl who know wuthering heights and lacan and will let me yap abt it so we did spend basically our entire first meeting talking about gothic literature. which i thought was sick as hell. but then they caught on that gothic lit is the best way to get thru to me cuz every session after that they brought up psychological and therapy shit under the guise of literature. no hope for me even a little bit. worst part is that it fucking WORKED. like you know what, you’re right, cathy probably would’ve benefited from dialectical behavioral therapy…
