For the writing requests : Trans danny f coming out to family and friends. How they decide is up to you.
I enjoyed writing this, it hit a bit close to home so to say (since I am nonbinary). I wasn't sure if you meant FTM (female to male) or MTF (male to female) trans so I wrote both. One of my favorite headcanons is Danny being a trans (ftm) and I assume you meant that one, but on the off chance I'm wrong I decided to write both. Both have the same/similar situations and the same reactions but different pronouns.
I mean no disrespect when I say ftm or mtf. I know not all transgender people will switch clothes, some guys like to wear skirts but that doesn’t mean they identify as a girl (just like how girls can wear men clothing without being male).
The first one is if Danny was AFAB (assigned female at birth) and the second is if Danny was AMAB (assigned male at birth). I think the second term (AMAB) is the correct one, if it's not please let me know.
Also, whomever made this request, thank you. ~CWA
Danny knocked softly on Jazz's door with his left hand. He could feel his body shaking slightly, but he had to do it. He couldn't deal with it anymore. Her, her, her, the wrong pronoun was like a jab to his heart. He wanted to look how he felt. Maybe then people wouldn’t keep mistaking him as a girl? But maybe this is just a mistake, Danny thought as stood outside Jazz's door. Maybe it's all a mistake… Maybe she won't get it or maybe what I'm feeling is wrong…
"Come in," Jazz's said, her voice muffled by the door.
He took a deep breath. He had to do it and if he had to tell anyone, he needed to tell her. She'll understand, Danny thought, blinking away tears, I'm sure she would… But what if she doesn’t? What if she does all her psychological stuff on me and treats me like an experiment? What if she… No… Jazz will get it…
Danny slowly entered the room. Jazz was sitting on her bed, looking up from the book she was reading. Noticing her pajamas, Danny couldn't help but think that Jazz may miss giving him her hand-me-downs. He blinked again and just like that, the thought was gone. She furrowed her brows,
"Danielle? What are you doing here?"
Danny winced at hearing that name. It was the name assigned to him at birth, but it was not his name. It never would be. He cleared his throat and slowly took a seat beside her on the bed. Jazz noticed the hair that was growing on his legs and inwardly tsk'ed, but that was the least of her concerns at the moment. Danny never came into her room unless it was important- like 'saving the world' important. Danny took a shaky breath.
"Actually, Jazz… It's Daniel. Danny with a y. I… I…"
Jazz leaned forward slightly, her mind going into a whirl wind. What was he trying to tell her? Was it about Sam? Ghosts? Their parents? And what about the name? His hands shook slightly as he took her hands in his tightly; she noticed how sweaty his palms felt. His body felt tense as he took a shaky breath.
"Jazz…I… I'm a guy. I… I just did some thinking and a lot of a research and… I'm a guy. I'm transgender."
Jazz blinked in confusion, a numbing sensation going through her. She… No… He's a guy. My little sister is my little brother… Danielle is Danny… Transgender… She knew what that term was, but never thought she'd meet anyone who actually was transgender. It did explain a few things- how he winced when he heard Danielle or female pronouns, the 'tomboy' look, the no shaving, and how he seemed so uncomfortable in dresses.
A small bubble of excitement rose within her; it would be interesting to do sessions with Danny now. She fought that thought down. What mattered now was Danny and what he was feeling.
Danny was still staring at her, awaiting some sort of reaction. He rubbed the back of his neck slightly, a nervous habit, but before he brought his hand down, Jazz hugged him tightly. Small tears were starting to fall down her cheeks. Seeing her cry caused him to lose control as he started to sob into her shoulder.
"It's okay, Danny," Jazz soothed him, "I.. It's okay, really. The most important thing for a young mind is support and for them to be themselves."
She pulled away from the hug with a smile, looking down at her brother fondly. Danny looked at her with wide, hopeful eyes. Jazz began to ramble about everything they would need to do, causing his heart to swell.
"Of course this means we'll have to get you a binder, and some more masculine clothes," she started to list the items on her fingers, "…and if you want, I could try to get some of those male hormone pills for you…"
Danny started to laugh slightly as he wiped away the tears. He hugged Jazz tightly,
"No problem little brother."
He mentally cursed. He didn’t mean to do it. He had gotten so used to talking to Jazz, who still occasionally messed up the pronouns. So when Sam and Tucker referred to him as a girl, the words just slipped out. "Ehem, it's actually male. I'm a guy." For a moment, they thought he was joking, but no one was laughing. They could tell he was freaking out; it was obviously from the way he was hunched over on the edge of Sam's bed, running his hands through his hair. Hair, Danny winced, I still have to cut it. This is just… I hate this. I hate having so much hair.
Sam and Tucker were still staring blankly at Danny. Tucker was looking up from his phone and Sam had paused the TV. Finally, they just shared a look and just shrugged.
"Okay," they said in union, before going back to what they were doing.
Danny looked up, the surprise obvious on his face.
Tucker stopped playing on his phone to look at Danny, shrugging slightly.
"Well, what do you want us to say? Dude, we really don’t care what gender you are or whatever. You're our friend. You're still the same person."
"Tucker's right," Sam nodded, "You just have to tell us so we don't call you by the wrong name or pronoun or whatever."
Danny could feel the tension lift from his shoulders as he sat up a bit straighter.
"…Danny," he said firmly, "My name is Daniel. Danny with a 'y'."Â
"Okay," Sam said, nodding, "I have some extra cash so if you need anything just let me know. I can contour really good and Grandma knows how to make beards if you ever want one…. Want me to cut your hair?"
Tucker looked up, slightly horrified.
"Dude, don't do it. She'll butcher your hair."
He gave her a goofy grin,
It took him over a year before he was finally ready to tell his parents. During that year, they figured he was just going through a phase. Yet it was finally time for them to know the truth. Sam, Tucker, Valerie, and even Danielle (who was a painful reminder of what he could have been and caused several weeks of him going into isolation) already knew. They vowed to keep it secret until he was ready and now, he finally was. He just couldn’t keep it anymore. Heck, even the ghosts knew of his gender as his ghost form had shifted to match his gender identity (which pleased him greatly). They were more okay with it than some people who were still alive. Even Vlad of all people knew as he had seen his ghost form. While Danny didn’t trust the man, he respected him. Vlad earned that respected; when he found out about Danny's gender, he accepted it. He called him Daniel, my boy, son. It was still slightly creepy, but at least he accepted it. Vlad had even given him his number in case things went wrong with his parents along with trans-specific help hotlines.
He sat down on a chair across from his parents, who sat on the couch. Jazz sat beside him and she had a comforting hand on his shoulder in encouragement. Maddie and Jack shared a confused look; why did their kids call a family meeting? Family meetings were only called upon for important subjects- usually that subject was about a ghost attack or a death in the family. It's rarely good news, Danny thought nervously, and this… This can be either good or bad… Please be good… He hoped that it would be good. It'll be pretty sad if ghosts can accept me, but my own ghost hunting parents can't…
"Mom, Dad," Danny started, his voice had gotten just a hint lower over the year thanks to vocal training, "I… I have some important I need to tell you."
He shifted in his seat slightly, causing Jazz to tighten her grip on his shoulder.
"What is it, dear," Maddie said gently.
Jack looked around, his eyes narrowed in suspicion.
"You're not pregnant, are you?"
At that thought, Danny turned green as he felt his stomach turn. He felt sick to his stomach and Jazz gave him a sympathetic look. Maddie noticed how he had paled and she placed a hand on Jack's shoulder.
"Jack, let Danielle tell us what she has to. I'm sure she's not pregnant…"
Jack leaned back in the couch, a small smile back on his face as Maddie said that as Danny getting pregnant (or Jazz) was his worst fear if it happened before they were older; they didn’t have to be married, just older than Danny's current age (sixteen). Danny winced at his mother's words; Danielle and she echoed in his ears, causing him to tense. He, him, his, he repeated in his mind, he, him, his… He felt his fists clench tightly and through gritted teeth, he was able to finally speak.
"He," Danny repeated, a bit louder, having enough courage to look up at his parents, "It's not she. It's he…."
Maddie and Jack took his words in slowly, giving him a blank slightly confused look. Danny could feel his heart pounding in his chest. He expected yelling, denial, crying, but silence. Silence was bad.
"What Danny is trying to say," Jazz pitched in, "is that he doesn’t feel like a girl."
"I'm a guy," Danny said firmly, "I know I am. It's what I am."
There was more silence. The tension became so thick that he could cut it with a knife. He had faced his older alternative evil self. He faced against Vlad (who had shown a better reaction than his parents). He had faced an entire ghost army. Yet nothing scared him more than his parents as their expressions turned slightly hard. Please don't, Danny begged, don't scream, don’t disown me, don't… His body started to shake as he started to sob, hunching over with his head in his hands. Jazz's heart broke seeing him cry as she rubbed soothing circles on his back, giving a mild glare to their parents.
His crying broke them out of their daze. The person in front of them (whether they were a ghost, a girl, a boy, a mix, or neither) was their child. The fact that they briefly, if just for a moment, thought otherwise was wrong. Maddie got up from the couch and gave Danny a tight hug.
"It doesn't matter," she whispered.
Jack got up as well, hugging Maddie, Danny, and even Jazz at once in his large arms.
Coming Out (MTF- Danny can be a unisex name and therefore is used as such in this half to avoid confusion with the clone Dani)
Danielle (Danny) knocked softly on Jazz's door with her left hand. She could feel her body shaking slightly, but she had to do it. She couldn't deal with it anymore. His, him, he, the wrong pronoun was like a jab to her heart. She wanted to look how she felt. Maybe then people wouldn’t keep mistaking her as a guy? It did explain a few things- how she winced when she heard male pronouns or her name, how she lingered in the girl's section of clothes at the mall, how she didn’t stare at the bras in the mall with lust, but rather with longing.
A small bubble of excitement rose within her; it would be interesting to do sessions with Danny now. She fought that thought down. What mattered now was Danny and what she was feeling.

"Of course this means I will have to teach you how to stuff a bra, buy you more feminine clothes if you want, or you could even borrow some of mine, I'm sure my bras could fit you. We'll just have to stuff them properly since you don't have the chest for it yet," she started to list the items on her fingers, "…and if you want, I could try to get some of those female hormone pills for you…"
Danny started to laugh slightly as she wiped away the tears. She hugged Jazz tightly,

They could tell she was freaking out; it was obviously from the way she was hunched over on the edge of Sam's bed, running her hands through her hair. Hair, Danny winced, it's still growing out, but it doesn’t grow out quick enough…
Sam and Tucker were still staring blankly at Danny. Tucker was looking up from his phone and Sam had paused the TV. Finally, they just shared a look and just shrugged.

He gave a goofy grin, relaxing.
"Okay," Sam said, nodding, "I have some extra cash so if you need anything just let me know. I can contour really good, plus I think I have some bras that are too big for me and might fit you and I can look up a ton of stuff for you. I also know how to tuck."
"Tuck," Danny asked, slightly confused.
Sam blushed slightly and motioned to her crotch. Realization dawn on her face, causing her to blush as well. Tucker, through his laughter, looked at her slightly confused.
"How do you even know that, Sam?"
It took her over a year before she was finally ready to tell her parents. During that year, they figured she was just going through a phase. Yet it was finally time for them to know the truth. Sam, Tucker, Valerie, and even Danielle (whose appearance caused her to burst into tears) already knew. They vowed to keep it secret until she was ready and now, she finally was. She just couldn’t keep it anymore.
