Jae-Eun shifts uncomfortably in his seat, looking at his hands for a moment. “I mean, I wasn’t sure what to think, I had heard of you and your skill but I was uncomfortable with the idea of working with you. I didn’t want to work with anyone, I was so used to competing against everyone.”
He adjusts his frame and looks over Seung-Hwa with a sigh. “I thought you were... too young for combat, but honestly your skills prove your worth. I was worried about how well you’d handle the stress of it all, I still worry.” He frowns, looking back at the ground, hoping Seung-Hwa doesn’t take this the wrong way.
“I thought I wouldn’t be able to work with you either, especially with such a name as ‘overlord’.” He chuckles, looking at Seung-Hwa with a grin. “You’ve changed my mind a lot.”

Caught mid-dash to his room, Jae-Eun twirls on his heel and looks at the younger as if he’s a teenager caught sneaking back in. “Look, I know its three in the morning and I shouldn’t go running around in my meka but that doesn’t mean yell at me.” Putting up his hands defensively, the pilot acts like he’s not about to be chewed out for the next two hours.
“Besides, how did you know I was even out!? I thought I told you t-,” His voice cuts off as he realizes he’s never actually told Seung-Hwa to stay out of his room at any point, and he just stares into the space just behind the blue pilot in defeat. Shoulders slouch as he sighs loudly, moving to his room. “I’m off to bed, I get it, no need to yell at me.”

Jae-Eun looks up from his various calculations to see the other offering a bag of warheads, an american snack someone had sent him once that he had fallen in love with. Letting out a laugh, he nods to the other. “Pretty high up there on the list, yeah. I might have a mild problem with extremely sour things, but that’s fine.”
There’s a pause before he very gingerly pulls the bag from Seung-Hwa, tearing it open to rummage around for all the lemon ones. “You’re free to have some, of course, I just wanna claim my favorites first.” He grins, as if he’s not being extremely greedy. “Thank you for bringing some, seriously. This means a lot to me.”
