Serse Hale was a name that put admiration in the hearts of petty thieves and hatred in the mouths of the wealthy. Until one day, that is, he was caught red handed, and struck with a curse. One that turned him into the vermin his captors truly saw him as. The vermin he really was inside his dark, slippery core.

This did not break Serse. His treasures had not been ransacked in his absence from them, still safely gathering dust inside his hideaway. He knew the power in leveraging goods the "honest" way, and with a newfound fascination for curses, he set out to become a merchant. At first he would only take coin and shining trinkets for his goods. Then he got bored of all the money, and decided, ah fuck it, I'll sell curses instead. Things only got better from there.

Now he trades cursed objects that can work miracles, weapons that have no right being so sharp and deft, ailments for enemies, prosperity for allies... Serse studied in the art of the twisting until he felt he could do just about anything. And it pays well. Very well, but not in coin anymore. He's more interested in things that he can experiment with, or items for his collections, or, weather and mood be willing, things he just finds entertaining to take.

🍀 finally managed to wake up far too late in the day and draw something with Havern and a character I made a little over a year ago, Stuart. Since Havern's curse is constantly changing his appearance around other people to suit their desires, he typically only gets to be 'himself' when he's alone. Well, luckily not everyone's tastes radically change how he looks. Enter Stuart, a clothier who is attracted to...tails. Just tails, it doesn't matter what the rest looks like, nearly any sort of tail on any creature manages to put butterflies in their stomach. Thankfully Stuart doesn't mind housing newly-ousted-lord Havern if he indulges their odd interest, and Havern is relieved to have someone to talk to who can actually see the real him, so things work out. They aren't romantically entangled, just housemates and possibly even friends after enough time. But both find themselves flustered quite often. It's a strange little situation.
